Greetings, Bobcat fans...a friendly hello from a Chippewa!

[INSERT CHORUS OF BOOS HERE]

We've had a longstanding tradition over on our forum: the weekly 'Separated At Birth' thread, where we have some fun with the photos of our upcoming opponent. Of course, it's now the Bobcats' turn at being lampooned.

They say if you can't take it, don't dish it out...so we'd love to see what you guys can come up with in response.

In the meantime, here's a link to the thread (you may need to copy and paste it...I'm not entirely sure how your forum handles embedded links.) Hope it gives you a laugh and inspires you to throw a green and white punch in response.

Have a great week...my brother and I are looking forward to the road trip to Athens. (You already know this, of course, but you have a gorgeous campus.) Looks like great weather for the game.

Funny stuff. I don't have the patience and creativity to do this but appreciate the time that went into providing the laugh. Have a great time in Athens and enjoying the longstanding tradition of a 3 point underdog CMU win at Ohio's homecoming.

You found a way to bring Conrad Bain into a football thread. Perfect.

Angel Flores bares a striking resemblance to Lord Farquaad if he got a clean fade.

Well done, guys...those are great! (I'll do you a favor and re-post those over on the CMU board. Our crew loves seeing the counter-punches being thrown...)

Just one logistical question for the game — in looking at the tailgating map at OU, am I correct in saying that the Blue Lot (the one that hugs the Convocation Center) is where a one-and-done schmuck like me would park? And also, are you guys on a cashless system for tailgate parking now?

The blue lot that hugs Peden is a donor parking lot so you can't park there unless you get a pass from someone.

The brown areas with the circled GP icons are parking lots anyone can use for $15. I don't know if they are cashless, but I'm guessing not.

Enjoy your time in Athens!

Thanks, Scott...this is really helpful. Much appreciated.

Just one other question for any and all Bobcats here...any brewpubby-type suggestions in Athens or the surrounding area for a pregame lunch? (We'll be coming into town driving south on US-33.)

All 3 of these are good.

Jackie O's
https://jackieos.com /

Note their Public House Restaurant uptown is still closed because of a fire they had last year. Their Tap Room location has a food truck and pizza.

Little Fish Brewing Company
https://littlefishbrewing.com /

Devil's Kettle Brewing
https://www.devilskettlebrew.com /

Off 33, not to far from Athens is Eclipse Company Store. Not a brewpub, but a neat place and good food.
https://www.eclipsecompanystore.com /

A little further away, but off 33 in Nelsonville is Black Diamond Brewery & Distillery. I've never been, but it's on my list to try.

Once again — thanks, Scott. These all look like great choices.

Weather looks good...as long as the rain holds off until Fourth Quarter 0:00...

143 is always a good time. I took friends for the WVU and Iowa State game and while those are pretty different than a traveling P4 crowd... a lot of visiting fans set up shop there. Nice mix.

The true Athens culture is best captured in the area of the Pigskin, the Pub, Stephens, Courtside & Broneys all on the north end of Court St. The area and restaurants should be pretty packed due to homecoming, which will only richen the experience.

An unpopular opinion with some, but Jackie O's screams Oxford not Athens to me. I just don't like it, but if you are into microbreweries you probably would enjoy it.

If you don't want the madness of parking and crowds of homecoming uptown and are more of an outdoorsmen, I would pivot to a light mid-morning hike at Old Man's Cave followed by Millstone BBQ before heading into Peden.
