Full disclosure - I've been deep into volleyball since 1981 when I started what would be a 9 year stint as the varsity volleyball coach at Athens High. Next up - my daughter playing four years at Marietta College. Today, it's three granddaughters playing club ball with the oldest two starting on the Athens High varsity. Now that's not OU but the players on the current OHIO teams started in club, played for their high school team and now are proud Bobcats. The link below is for a fundraising campaign they are currently conducting for a variety of plans and activities. Please read what they are hoping to do and give as your means permit. I'll commit right now to match the first 10 $100 gifts. We have 13 days to get them to $20K. Multiple sport athletes is where it is at. I’ll support one that works with others. Seen many SE kids play that club chasing a scholarship and not play basketball and never get that scholarship. In fact, let’s go 30 years and count the DI basketball scholarship vs VB.
