Does anyone know if the university is going to have a set amount of tickets for sale soon? Or am I better off buying one of these several-hundred-dollar tickets off StubHub?

Is OU sponsoring a tailgate or anything as well? Would be pretty sweet to get a big group of us down there for a pregamer.

Should be a good crowd (at least outside the stadium) for OU.

I bought season tickets this year and was granted early access to buy from OUr block for OSU on 8/4. There seemed to be a decent amount of seats left when I bought but I'm not sure how many other waves were granted access after the 4th.

I got the same email but missed it and didn't get to it before it expired the next day.

I go back and forth on wanting to attend. It's a lot of money and an absolute zoo for a game in which we are massive underdogs. And I'd probably end up in some verbal altercations (e.g. making fun of them spelling out the name of their opponent).

Just saw today that OU has soldout of their OSU ticket allocation. Bobcat Bash pregame tickets are available (do not include game tickets).

I'm the same way but the wife wants to be there, so we'll be there. I won't be taking any crap. If we can get a lead at any point, I'll take that as a W.

This is the first time that we've played Ohio State in my lifetime that I've opted to watch it on the tube (which I guess means a temporary subscription to Peacock). Other than the time we sat with some high school friends of my wife's who have a luxury box, we've had crappy seats, and the hassle of getting in and out of that stadium is no fun. I will be at the Rutgers game in person.

One victory is the SKULL Session in St. John's Arena prior to kickoff.

Having the 110 do "Light Up" vs "What your daddy do" well, makes a Bobcat proud.

I think OUr shifty QB's moves will take a while for the Bucknut defense to figure out and should lead to some scores.

Honest goals would be score at least 1 touchdown, force at least 2 punts, and commit no more than 2 turnovers. These goals may be adjusted up or down depending on how we look vs Rutgers & WVU.

I just hope this isn't another Terrelle Pryor/Teddy Bridgewater special where we are clearly outclassed after the first quarter. I would be satisfied with a Virginia Tech 2007 where we are clearly not a pushover. I would be happy with a Tennessee 2009/2016 where we give them a real game. I would take it and move on with a Penn State 2022 where we at least had a committed strategy and effort to score despite a blowout scoring margin.

Our problem is we really lack big play ability throwing the ball, so it will be tough to battle back in big chunks.

Thinking it gets pretty ugly, but would be great if we could rattle a new QB early and force them into runs and grinding out the clock, but I think even I could go out there and chuck it 40 yards and hope Smith comes down with it. They're gonna want to stat pad before starting the Big 10 schedule.

Would love some good strong shit talking for at least 1 quarter before it gets out of hand.

A running QB is always going to get some teams on their heels so I hope we can slow it down and keep it relatively close with Bangura churning out yards. Would be nice to have Ricky Hunt back there for a nice 1-2, but I digress

Personally don't want to lean on Parker to do too much running. Coming out of Columbus with him missing any time would be a disaster.

You left out the best one in 2008 where we almost beat these dudes and were leading going into the 4th quarter. And that was one of Frank's random BAD years. Shoutout Todd Boeckman.

That was such a fluky game, but the defense was up for it. Noah Keller cemented himself as the defensive alpha around that time. I don't know who that player is for us now. Only one good offensive drive that game. I think 2008 would have been a lot better had we not suffered a heaping ton of injuries each week.

I was at that game as a 13 year old, not in the visitors section, cheering loudly for the Bobcats. My dad almost got in a fight with a red faced O$U fan who was threatening me, a literal child. Another Buckeye fan a section over had to be stretchered out over everyone’s head’s after suffering a heart attack in the 3rd quarter. The Buckeyes fans were not handling things well.

OSU was struggling more in general against MAC schools at that time. My thought was it had to do with game preparation or more conservative with opening the up the play book. I'm sure all of that has advanced greatly in 17 years.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

These days they really look to run up the score in these non-con games. Maybe not as much as before with the expanded playoff but I think Ryan Day would put up 70 if he has the chance. He's got an ego and wants to leave no doubt.

Oh yeah this was that weird period for OSU post Troy Smith but before Terrelle Pryor's peak. I remember this pregame distinctly because the Buckeyes had USC the next week after us and Pryor was a freshman. And this was peak USC who was still a national title contender under Pete Carroll. Colin Cowherd previewed the OSU/OU game saying that Pryor needed to get more playing time against us to tune up for USC the next week. Turned out to be correct because I think Boeckman got benched against USC and Pryor started from there on out. They got clobbered 35-3.
