Per Jason Arkley's Twitter (a must-follow by the way), the following names are not on the Fall roster:

LB Jay Edwards
PK Kyle Clinton
DE Kyle Kozak
DL Jamal Tarrent
S Storm Timson
LB Brandon Weaver (medical DQ)
DL Brad Spivey (coaches knew in Spring he wouldn't be coming)

That's killer on the defensive line. We're down to Carl Jones, Neil Huynh, Curtis Meyers, Tremayne Scott as the only guys who played at all last year and Jeff King, Nick Barber and John Taylor as the only non-true freshmen backups.

Someone mentioned Edwards already and Weaver has had injury problems the last two years unfortunately.

Pretty much confirms what I was thinking, we will be thin on the defensive front and LB's too in my estimation. I can't reconcile this with forecasts of a 10-14 win season, but I hope I'm wrong about the final results.

My understanding is Clinton leaving is what opened the door for Yazdani.

And assuming he's healthy, I'm not sure why Weller couldn't resume kickoff duties. Thought he was very solid in that area as a freshman.

The kicker grapevine in Columbus says that Clinton plans to enroll at OSU and try to walk-on there this fall.

The DL looks like the area of concern at this time.  Obviously  it will be the area where we can't afford to be hit with a plethora of injuries. Opens up a ton of questions as well:

Can Jeff King stay healthy for the season?

Will redshirts and walk-ons like John Taylor and Nic Barber be able to contribute?

How many of the true freshman will lose their redshirt status?

This makes Frank look like a genius with his stockpiling of D lineman with the 2011 recruiting class.  One or more will no doubt get some early pt so that the depth will be there for later in the season.  Guys like Crutcher (DT)....Bennett (DE)......Haser (DT) maybe get a chance.....Price and Davis and Purdum to rush the passer......stay tuned.
