This is a huge pickup for this season.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Looks like 4 passes caught in his 3 years of playing. Played second string behind some pretty good players over his career there.

Good to see an addition at TE with the loss of Roback. Shame to see that he won't be back. I will never forget that Potato Bowl TD.
Shocked to see Hammonds gone from the program. RB depth to start the year is thin. No Hammonds and no Daz for a while. Greene has to be the odds-on favorite to kick now that he is cleared.

I missed that about Roback. That is disappointing.

Hammonds' absence is concerning. We have only 2 healthy running backs on the team at this point, one of whom is a true freshman, right?

I assume Blankenship and Boykin will be the only two we see carrying the football until Patterson gets back. I have no clue who returns kicks on this team. Devin Bass?

According to Arkley's blog post, Tim Edmond has now been moved to running back. With Patterson out to start the year, Ohio would have Blankenship/Boykin/Edmond/Brown available at RB.

He's recovering from offseason surgery but he should be fine.

Monroe will be happy to have a Fullback type as a backfield option.

With Roback and Edmond moved from TE, that position got a lot thinner. Still we have the new guy, Anthony Talbert, plus a couple Redshirt Freshmen (Davon Henry and John Tanner), plus several true Freshmen that were recruited at TE/DE (Troy Mangen, Mason Morgan, Trent Smart).

The chance to use bullmoose is always good.

I trust that the coaches will keep on with what we did occasionally last year:  multi-running back sets.  Almsot doesn't matter which two guys, what combo of speed and/or bullmoose.

Barring injuries, we could be a load.  Lots of weapons of offense.

So with Knight, Hill and Talbert at TE. I still assume someone like a John Tanner will see a decent amount of PT. Only 5 Running backs on the roster six if you count Edmond. Top two are RS Seniors. Some good players but not much depth. Especially if you are thinking about 2014.
