A coach who is wise enough to recognize that he shouldn't redo THIS team in his own image.  Let those who will be seniors on the 12-13 team play the game they do best (i.e., really tight D) and work in your philosophy (if it's any different) with the underclass during next year's off-season.

uh oh . . .  I see he played most of his college ball at Rhode Island.  This isn't a TOS recommendation, is it?

Hello,

I'm still trying to get over the fact that we lost the coach.  He had every reason to stay.  He's got a great squad coming back -- He would have more fruitful seasons for the next few years.

I still haven't accepted his departure ....

Go Bobcats!

I typed this last week but forgot to hit send....

"Remember that guy who coached Kent a while back and never won a tournament game. Then moved on to a crappy job at TCU and has performed *&^*(-tasitcally ever since? I think we should hire THAT GUY. Nothing would really excite our fans, young and old, like a guy that used to coach at Kent."

Its easy to cherry pick stats and make a guy sound worse than he is. You sound like the Illinois fans who said "Groce is 34-30 in MAC play, this guy stinks."

Bottom line is that Jim Christian won 20+ games every year at Kent and never won fewer than 11 conference games.

He took his team to the dance twice and even had them nationally ranked in 2008.

He left TCU due to TCU's inability to properly fund their basketball program.

I don't ever remember getting wowed by Kent's nonconference schedule either.

Why do I feel like some of these discussions seem vaguely familiar?
