I got an email yesterday that Paramount and YouTube TV have ceased negotiations and that YTTV could drop all Paramount channels, including CBSSN, effective today. Hope not. We're planning to go out tomorrow night for Valnetine's Day so I'd at least like to DVR the game.

There seems to be a lot of "blinking" going on after these sorts of threats lately. My guess is the game will be available on YTTV.

Its pretty funny that YT/Google always spins up some propaganda that they are actually the true victims in every single negotiation that they've gone through. I would have left by now but there simply isn't anything comparable. I signed up in 2019 I think, was paying $45.99 a month and got all the local sports including Cavs/Tribe. Now its $89.99 and no Cavs/Tribe. The quad-box is amazing though especially for March Madness.

All of the streaming options are still a better price than cable unfortunately, though they are creeping their prices up to match. The thing with cable, and I learned this the hard way when I went to switch back, is most have a regional sports fee depending on your area - something they don't advertise in their promotional items (f you Comcast). So what could be a matching cable subscription around $70-80/month is really like $120/month.

I'm in the same boat. I signed up forever ago and had a 'friends and family' BS discount that started it at $29.99 for the first year. At the time, it felt like this amazing option where I got this lightweight alternative to DirectTV and could watch live sports.

Since, they've just gone the route of cable and started bundling a bunch of stuff I don't want and increasing the price. Every month or so I get an email that says "Good news, we added Home & Garden TV and now your price went up $3 per month."

Heading to the game tonight. Wasn't pretty the last time I went to Kent State (75-52 loss in 22). Hoping the Bobcats show up to play tonight! Never easy to win there but we have a good enough team to pull through. Wouldn't pick it to happen though.

Anybody have a compare and contrast on that??

I've done Sling, Hulu Live and YTTV at some point. My biggest gripe with Hulu was it always seemed to crash and/or buffer when switching between channels. I also wasn't thrilled with their interface - wasn't very user friendly. Flipping back and forth between channels on a gameday got way too cumbersome. This could have changed with the recent updates they've made between them and Disney, but I'm not sure because I haven't seen it.

I never got to try this feature, but Sling introduced something called Watch Party where you could sync up with your friends and watch the same programming. I think that would be pretty cool for live events like the Super Bowl, March Madness, etc. Their interface was more traditional and closest to cable/satellite, but the picture quality always seemed worse than the other two for some reason.

YTTV having the quad box is obviously a game changer and hard to pass up for a sports fan though.

I just wish one of these dumbass companies would bring back PIP. It's such a game changer when wanting to flip back and forth quickly to catch something you might miss.

In pre-warm-up shoot around Sheldon working hard and knocking down about 8 for evey ten taken from beyond the arc! No one guarding him but his trajectory almost didn’t touch the net just dropping nearly straight down.

Nobody here 30 minutes prior to the tip…

Absolutely unconscious shooting so far! BUT...am I seeing things wrong? I swear this is the 2nd time in the past 3 games that Pav has hit a corner 3, only for it to be counted as a 2 and never reviewed.

60% from the field, 50% from three, down 4 at the half. After the last Kent State game, makes perfect sense that this is a shootout.

Hard to imagine trailing at the half after making 10-11 to start. And down four at half? Not good.

Elmore just doesn’t pass. He should never lead the team in shot attempts and does with 7 shots at the half. I still say Boals plays him too many minutes.

Yeah I don’t think this is it. He passed up a shot for a better one for Pav.

Kent doubling quickly, might as well shoot the open shot instead of getting tied up near the paint.

With 6 seconds and no shot before the half is really lame—set up Brown for an NBA 3 and fire away.

He definitely seems to take shots at odd times. Reef is 4-4 in less than 8 minutes with 12 to play in the half and gets one shot attempt the rest of the half.

The offense gives guys too much freedom. We should be creating looks for a guy who hasn't missed.

He had about three or four lazy moments not being strong with the ball, so I'm not shocked.
