Ohio pulls away in exhibition against Indiana Tech
Setty leads Bobcats with 17 points, 4 steals

ATHENS – Ohio’s only senior, Treg Setty scored 17 points to lead his team to a 73-57 exhibition win against Indiana Tech on Saturday at The Convo.
Michigan State transfer Kenny Kaminski scored 14 points, and Houston transfer had 11 points and seven assists for the Bobcats.
Ohio struggled offensively in the first half, shooting just 11-of-30 (36.7 percent), but was better after halftime, going 15-of-29 (51.7 percent). That helped the Bobcats pull away after leading just 30-26 at halftime.
The Bobcats led 28-14 with 4:29 remaining in the first half on two Simmons free throws, but the Warriors made a run to close the gap as Ohio went cold.
Indiana Tech got as close as three and was down just 39-35 on a Tanner Watkins 3-pointer with 12:43 to go before Wadly Mompremier hit a pair of free throws to begin a 9-0 run. The Warriors closed the gap to 55-50 on a Jantzen Goodwin 3-pointer with 4:10 left, but Kaminski answered with a trey, and Ohio closed it out with an 18-4 run.
Ohio struggled to rebound, giving up 16 offensive boards to Indiana Tech and grabbing only four of its own. But the Bobcats were strong in the turnover category, with only six to 16 for the Warriors. Setty had four steals.
Neither team was strong from the outside. Ohio was 4-of-18, and Indiana Tech was 9-of-31. The Bobcats went 17-of-24 at the line, and the Warriors were 8-of-11.
Jalen Huff led Indiana Tech with 18 pints and four assists. Watkins had 14 points, and Dominique Walls had 13 rebounds.
Antonio Campbell led Ohio on the boards with nine, while also scoring nine points. Kaminski had eight rebounds.
Ohio opens the regular season at 2 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Florida Gulf Coast.
