I don't know, but he would run up to the press box at every timeout and would shove me out of his way very abruptly. He then called me a cockmuncher as I left the Convo.

He was probably a student assistant or manager.  Their team picture page doesn't name the guys on the right, but he was one of them.

The BG fan board says it was asst. coach Lamonta Stone. Stone has been on their staff since 2004.

You are making things up. Bthat person was working for the OHIO SID who had to work from press row and not the scorers table because there was no power or Internet.

The event started with 3:30 on the clock when our one asst told the official to sit Lamonte down.  From that point on all Lamonte could do was stare our asst, in fact Coach Orr had to grab him to get into the team huddle.  In fact Coach Orr was advised by official to talk with him to quit putting his arm around this official. I told my wife to watch Lamonte because he was going to cause a problem and he did!!

When game was over and team lines were forming that is when Lamonte started talking and pulled our coach toward him said something and our coach really went at him.  During the minor scuffle the little twerp from BG  started to push several people around.  Coach Orr and Christian tried to break the scuffle, but  Lamonte started again.  Coach Orr kept pushing Lamonte away, but the little twerp started to initiate the action and finally a BG player got him (the twerp)out of the picture then he started chiriping leaving the floor.  Completely surprised that security did not get into the action.

Panda.  Are Lamonte and "little twerp" one in the same or two different people?

WOUB had a brief clip showing some pushing. Check the 1:58 mark.

The game is already archived at OhioBobcats.com. You can watch the handshake line on that. Although the camera is far away, you can see that something is happening. It went on for a little while. Orr had almost left the court when he had to go back and break things up.

It was Dennis Hopson. He did it a couple years back, and did it this year. After the double T to Crawford/DJ, he and coach Wuczynski had words, and Hopson jawed & stared down coach Wu the rest of the game. The handshake line was fine until Hopson/Wuczynski met, then it was some pushing/shoving.

He seems like a sore loser. But then again if I was a NBA player, then relegated to a assistant coach at BG, I'd probably be grumpy too.

I think he went after DJ a couple of years ago if I recall correctly.

And what I am telling you is the SID had to relocate to the press row to run stats due to some issue at the scorer table. OHIO and BG both had runners that had to get stats in, and run during the media timeouts to get the real time updates, guy was just doing his job.

It was not Dennis Hopson yesterday, it was the shorter assistant.

Right after the double T on DJ and Crawford, there was a double bench T as well.  (Shows up in the play-by-play but not on some box scores.)  They must've been the reason for it. I don't know what was said in the handshake line, but it seemed clear from the game broadcast that BG's asst coach wouldn't let it go.  Isn't it great that BG's asst coach sets such a fine example for his team.

It was Lamonte and the " little twerp" who was the manager/statistian.  It was not the runner. Actually Hopson was doing his best to control the madness.  It should be known that Lamonte has a reputation to hang on to the officials throughout games.  Sure hope that Orr would end his career as a Coach as he does not help the game.
