TV for basketball season

I don't currently have a flat-screen TV. Last few years I've watched MAC college basketball on ESPN Plus, ESPN3, and CBS Sports Network. I have YouTube TV. Last few years I've streamed on my phone and computer and plan to do that this season.

But, I am planning on adding a TV to the mix.

What TV would you recommend?
What methods should I use to ensure that I can stream all these networks when I get a TV?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just about any smart TV you can get these days is going to be able to do what you need it to do. 4K screens are incredibly affordable now. I wouldn't shell out for 8K. LG, Samsung, whatever, you'll be fine.

I only have Sony TV's in my home, all smart TV's. I purchased from Best Buy and arranged for them to deliver, install, and set up. Since they are flat screens I have them all attached to the wall with an adjustable bracket. I also subscribe to Direct TV as my cable company. I am not yet ready to cut the cord due to the programming deficiencies. I too subscribe to ESPN+ in order to watch Bobcat football and basketball.
The prices of these smart TV's have also dropped so they are more affordable.
You will really enjoy the picture quality. You will also find yourself saying "Why did I wait so long to buy a smart TV".
Remember....you get what pay for!

Our method is similar to the above, Sony tv with a google stick. At some point a year or two ago, Disney ran a bundle on Disney+, Hulu, and Espn which saved a few bucks a month...plus we already had the ESPN and Hulu so it was a no brainer for us. Also use the sports package on Spectrum for the cable games.

If your computer is a laptop, or a suitably located desktop, you could go for a projector and screen. Decent projectors are quite affordable nowadays, and 100" cloth screens cost next to nothing, if you have a good way to hang it. We bought a set for "business purposes" that was repurposed for "going extra large" on basketball games when we had company over. We found an inexpensive bluetooth speaker was better than the laptop's speakers for that type of experience, also. Note that we got that stuff pre-pandemic so ymmv on current prices!

Agree with JSF...Only pitfall to look out for is some of the supermarket Walmart types have what seem like cheaper TVs but a lot of them have a lower refresh rate which can really hurt the stability of the picture, especially fast moving stuff like sports. You kind of have to search for it but just make sure you consider that when comparison shopping.

I have two LGs and things have been great with those. I usually buy my TVs in the spring after the Super Bowl, because that's when they start shuffling out the old models for the new and you can get pretty good deals. Better than Black Friday from what I've seen.

Was using Hulu which allows you access to ESPN3, but dropped them for Sling and should be able to do the same. I do pay the $5.99 or whatever it is now per month for ESPN+ for those games that aren't on ESPN3 though.

One annyoing caveat to Sling is they don't have CBS Sports Network, which some of our games could be on. Literally every other sports channel except that one. Even Pac 12 Network, which is impossible to find.

Downloaded ESPN app to my Sony TV. Paid for the ESPN subscription. Needed spectrum cable to do it this way. Get to watch football, men�s and women�s basketball, even some soccer and etc. Vizio is also a good choice.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

This rating site is really good for research but they don't review every tv that's out there. They do a good job of breaking it down by use and budget though.
