Give the guys some credit-they shot lights out and came back numerous times to pull it out. A sweet win, maybe bittersweet because it shows what they can do on a good day. Unfortunately some of the holes in their game still are there, but can be easily overlooked when they win. Keep it going guys , Proud of the way you fought back.

This was one of the Fridays I could make it down. I wasn't expecting much. An entertaining first half was more than I bargained for, and a shocking win in a pretty damn lively atmosphere (all things considered) was really nice. It didn't erase the awful year, but it was nice. Still, "Fifty Shades" is more likely to win an Oscar than this Bobcat team is to make it to Cleveland.

As to the talk on here of cutting back and becoming apathetic, I fall into that category too. I gave less and went less this season. That said, I got a dose of perspective from a BG fan after the game. They were amazed and envious of our crowd and enthusiasm, which is a big contrast to what their team is getting during a really strong year. So, yes, damage has been done and our program has a lot of work to do to recover fans, money and interest... but we're still a tall midget in the world of MAC hoops fan bases. We'll see if Buffalo can sustain their success and corresponding bump in interest -- as we know all too well, it's not easy.

The program is ready for a change. That isn't a knock on Saul as a person. At $500k+ per year, the results they're getting isn't a good return on investment. It's time to go in a different direction.

It comes with the territory of being a division one basketball (or football) head coach. Saul is a big boy. He knows what he does for a living and understands what it opens him up to.

Scrutiny is part of the job when you're the highest paid employee at your said company. You don't think the university president isn't under scrutiny for their results five years into their term?

Hell, even minimum wage workers are scrutinized for the work they perform. It's called an evaluation.

To think Saul's results as a highly paid coach shouldn't be subject to scrutinizing is laughable.

The fact that the BG win at home has been described by the Messenger as a "stunner" and a "monster upset" shows just how far our program has fallen. Time to move on and aim a hell of a lot higher.

In terms of this year's MAC play, yes it is. But I wouldn't use that as the barometer for how far the program has fallen. Getting beat bad by Akron at home and Buffalo on the road is what we should be looking at.
