Let’s just hope their check clears.

It's honestly amazing that we won this game considering the number of turnovers, penalties and just awful play on offense. It certainly doesn't feel like a win.

Curious to see what Albin says in the post game presser.

The roller coaster from the 1st quarter to the rest is wild.

From screaming WERE BACK to turning it off entirely.

He’ll say the defense stepped up, the offense needs work and the coaches did a fine job

A win is a win. It's not the true story of the rest of the season. The QB switch will motivate certain positions to step it up. I'm glad coach changed it up to send a message of "next man up."

Sometimes you need that as a spark and we will see what happens next weekend. I think Parker is still the starter but the 2 QB system is a must for the rest of the season. Kentucky struggles against MAC schools for about 3 quarters. We have a solid running game that is built for some solid playaction passes that can lead to an upset. Execution will be key though. Hopefully we will see more guys mature and step up next week before heading into conference play.

Does play action from a shotgun or a pistol really have the same effect on the defense that a snap under center with running backs moving forward?

Albin knew we needed a QB. So many D1 QBs to choose from and he said Navarro is great. Wasting Anthony Tyus year!

We tried to get a QB. We had the Oklahoma State QB Gundy here for a hot minute, and also had a Vandy QB on a visit but when you don't have the $$$. You end up with JUCO QBs.

Even before NIL, Ohio sometimes had to rely on JUCO QBs. T3, Boo, and Nathan....

This. It's a win. The season is far from over, and while there is improvement needed, there is no reason to believe that they can't improve.

Yes. The ball is being shown in gun so LB hold in the box.

I really like pistol formation with a TE wing. Can run TE follow routes (runs flat route opposite field) to create leverage.

Lot of good points. However, I'm wondering if the 110 improved from last week. SBH?

Meanwhile, over on NBC Kurtis is 20/25 for 3 TD vs UCLA.

Wasn't really impressed with Ohio today but was never concerned about them losing.

Onto the next. Will be in Kentucky next week. They've been hanging with Georgia so far tonight.

Strange day at Peden Stadium. Neither the team nor the fans seemed to have any energy or enthusiasm. Perhaps, the heat had something to do with it. The play on the field was inconsistent, sloppy, and uninspired. Some really stupid personal fouls and penalties didn't help. The QB play is really sad at this time, though Nick Poulos offered a spark in the second half on the ground. As a quarterback, aren't you supposed to be able to throw the ball? I am really curious as to how the Coaches and Players are going to get this passing game jumpstarted. Currently, it's definitely Missing In Action. Thank God that we have a decent Defense; otherwise, this would have been an even longer day than it already was.

Watching him and Miles Cross tear up UCLA makes my heart hurt.

Unless something happens in practice this week, I think he'll start at UK. Poulos was okay but not spectacular. If he had led the team to three or four TDs it might be a different story. I imagine both will seek PT next week.

Our future opponent, Kentucky, is marching down the field with moments left in the game and only behind #1 Georgia: 13 - 12.

Kentucky fell short, but gave Georgia all they could handle and more.

That felt like an NFL pre-season game. Weirdly experimental and overall uninspired. You almost get the sense that the coaches were using the FCS matchup to see if Parker Navarro could sling it or if he was merely an option QB. After the third pick they just opted to go with the 6'6 backup if they were gonna be limited to option runs anyway.

Morgan State was a mess offensively (and I don't know why they stopped passing after a weirdly successful opening drive). But you still have to like how dominant the front 7 looked. Bradley Weaver did what an elite pass rusher should do to an inferior opponent. Let's just hope the defensive backfield gets healthy for MAC play.

I was at the game with family and have not seen the broadcast. Several in the thread were talking about no more I injuries. Did we suffer another player loss?

My comment on Parker is that in the second quarter it looked like Morgan State was just daring us to prove we could beat them deep. They moved their safties up and pressed our receivers. That made it hard to run. I haven't seen a replay but it looked like two interceptions were because they weren't giving any space off the receivers to protect deep and were able to jump hitches and out type routes.

Morgan State got down inside the 25 or so 5 times and had the ball past midfield at the end of the half and came away with 6 points.

I think Albin kept it plain vanilla to limit injuries and prepare for Kentucky.

Well, said, Victory, regarding the Bobcats. I thought that the Morgan State quarterback, number "0" (how cool is that), looked every bit of the role of a quarterback, except that he kept rushing his passes. Of course, it doesn't help that the Bobcats were putting so much pressure on him throughout the game.
