The Athletic had a fun article on Steve Carell. It focused on his time as a hockey player at Denison and his games against OHIO play a big part in the article. Sure seems like those 80's games were a lot of fun. Wish I could've seen one.

75 cents to get in and 25 cent beer. Actually saw a game against Cincinnati when a call on the ice and resulting melee lead to tons of beer cups thrown on the ice and the game called. Crazy times.

I took my son to that game. After that they stopped selling beer, and I never went to another OHIO hockey game. The lack of beer was not the reason, it was because I've never been much of hockey fan and found the fan behavior that night a real turn off.
