Team is showing improvement. But, we are still finding a way to lose conference games. In the end, the defense did not make stops when the game was on the line. But this makes next weeks game very important and I'm glad that it Akron and it at home. I'm not sure where we stand with injuries but I feel like we have a lot and it going to be a season where we have players come and go which isn't the best. Also slow starts need to stop happening. As beat up as we were/are giving up 24 points in regulation wasn't too bad. However we were gifted several lucky breaks that aren't going to happen in every game. They fumbled how many times? How many penalties bailed out our defense. It's the only way we have a chance in the MAC, we need points...lots of them. Only issue is when we go three and out in like 30 seconds. They took Kent State to overtime. Kent Laid an egg in this game, but our defense is so bad we couldn't get the W. Bobcats won the turnover battle and had fewer penalties. Maybe we turned the corner and some positive momentum from this game. Still big yardage given up. Couldn't hold late lead.
