It’s March, you have 5+ months to plan.

Correct, but we don’t always have this much time -right? And, you don’t know how much I’ve already done with the previous scheduled date or how much it’s going to cost me to change it. You’re just trying to be a j… as usual.

You buying college sports tickets and plane fair in the world of world of flexing schedules and did not purchase flight and room insurance, that is a you problem. Not a me problem. I clicked a button on my Delta Skymiles and poof, refund, and new flight booked. They sell those products for a reason. Shit happens.

In 2028, we are playing at Illinois. FYI, it's TBD Date, TBD time. So I would start scheduling now. Probably get a great rate on your flight.

I fly Delta virtually exclusively including internationally. Your experiment with Delta easing your need to reschedule reminds me of the time I knew in advance that bad weather was going to cause me to miss my connecting flight in Atlanta. When I walked off the jetway from my arriving flight, I went with one of my rules: When having a question, ask the first person wearing a uniform. In that case I had walked only a short distance when I saw a man standing alone at the podium in an otherwise empty gatehouse. I approached him. He looked up and smiled. I said, "I know I've missed my connection." His reply: "What is your name?" I answered with a Michael Johnson. He glanced at his screen and said "Oh, we've already rebooked you on the next flight." He then asked if I had a boarding pass. I answered in the affirmative. He took it and handwrote the new flight info. "Here you go," he smiled.

Of course, I haven’t lost a penny on this deal so I’ll be okay, thanks for the concern! And people sell those kind of products for a reason-yep-to make money on people who want to spend their money on those items.

I never purchase them, but like Mike stated, sometimes they are just built in. And yeah, it things are never secure, then maybe it's time to find a product. Glad you did not lose money. But again, 5 months out, you should be ok

No Akron, Kent or Toledo. Strange schedule. Homecoming looks like NIU on the 18th is what I'm guessing.

It is. I don't think that was announced when I last checked. I also don't think that it has been mentioned on here.

I like the timing of this schedule. We the defending MAC champions coming off three ten win seasons. New coaching staff. Not a bad time to get three national TV games vs power 5 with some serious cash coming in. We got West Virginia at home and play the defending national champs Ohio State. This is year one for this staff. I expect a tough transition year for them, but the media attention we will get with three power four games and coming off a MAC title has to get our name front and center with recruits and with alumni. Imagine if we win any of those three games. It would be huge boost to the program. If Ohio beats both Rutgers and West Virginia that likely gets them ranked going into Columbus vs the #1 team and defending champ. Keep it close for half and we are playoff bound if we roll thru the MAC unbeaten. There is no way we not top ranked group of five if we do that. We are the defending MAC championship this schedule says anytime anywhere and lets settle this on the field. MAC needs its tops teams to take their shot. This ius how Boise State arrived as a national program. Time for Ohio to be the MAC daddy and make a statement. We are now the top MAC football program. Not Toledo, not MAC. Get a big W early season non-conference like NIU did last season.

oubobcatjohn: That green kool-aid really tastes good. Well, we have beaten WVU at home before, so it could happen again. In fact, the victory was so memorable that a local reporter wrote a poem about it:

And they came and they were conquer'd
With swift dispatch and ease,
And they felt that twinging sorrow which
In vain they could appease
Thought not that woe awaited them
Across Ohio's stream.
And like the poet found that things
Aren't ever what they seem.

And they came from fair Virginia
The place of Morgantown.
Where swift Monogahela flows
Past mountains looking down:
Proud and boasting came they hither
To wrestle for the goals
Which they found almost as quickly
As disembodied souls.

Badly battered left they homeward
In vain could they conceal
The awful havoc of their bucks
'Gainst O.U.'s pointed steel:
And they left here sad but wiser
Of many manly tricks,
For the gridiron here is hot
As Athens politics.

In case you wondered, this was in 1897. Way overdue for a repeat!
