Freshman LB Parker Startz to Charlotte. Again, no surprise there.

Looks like Clay got a BGSU offer but is visiting UNLV so he might not be a MAC guy. He's originally from Cincinnati.

Anybody have any insight into how many open spots we have next year? With the small amount of players in the portal compared to last year, Sieh coming back, and the expectation that the P4 schools will be cutting hundreds of players with the new roster limits it has me thinking things will probably be pretty quiet for us until the Spring portal window.

Was the GS leading receiver in 2023 (49 receptions for 615 yards and 6 tds) but played only four games in 2024. Hopefully an injury that will not slow him down if he plays his final season for the Bobcats.

The Georgia State Panthers went 3-9 and placed 7th in the Sun Belt last season.

That has to be exciting for Tailique Williams to know he has the chance to showcase his talents as part of a winning program now that has their veteran quarterback returning.

That is actually a solid place for him. He will be a rotational guy I am sure if not a starter. The ACC is solid from top to bottom. He will definitely get exposure there.

Smaller receiver--could fit the old Ty Walton spot with speed and shiftiness.

Love that DJ is back. He was solid and with the growth of Mathis and hopefully the return of Adonis and Parodie along with younger guys like Mack and Thomeson that saw time, that solidifies our defensive backfield.

Parodie has exhausted his eligibility. I know, I know…it actually still happens now and then. Tank, though, looks like he’s returning, prob with an extra year due to JUCO ruling.

Overall point is solid though…D backfield not in need of a ton of portal help.

That would be huge. Clearly has talent. We really need a solid #1. I feel like we have some good pieces that COULD be a surprise, but it would be nice to know hes around as insurance.

*knock on wood*
Looks like most of the receivers are returning, other than Owen. That extra time in the offense, working with Parker should be highly valuable. Looking forward to see who starts asserting themselves into that role. (Owen was voted captain after just spending the summer here). Pugh, Delaney Crawford, Rodarte, Chase - your time to shine.

I forget the game but Gossett stepped up huge in one of Coleman's games he missed.

He had had 11 tackles in nine games and a pass breakup in his last season with us in 2021.

Will be nice to see him back after a host of stops. Hasn't had much stats, but he's maybe the most experienced... JUNIOR... in all of college football.

2020 - OU COVID
2021 - OU (Freshman)
2022 - REDSHIRT - Texas State (RS Freshman)
2023 - Garden City JUCO - 19 tackles in 6 games
2024 - UNLV (RS Sophomore)

2025... OU... Junior?

Maybe from the FCS.

I've said this before, but I think hes another guy that means more to us than anyone else. OU gave him an incredible opportunity to prove his size isn't a hindrance. And he's won some jewelry in the process.

He's LISTED at 5'9" 185. That is not a P5 safety. I don't want to make this be negative, because I love the kids work. He plays much bigger. Tough kid. Nice tape. I want him here. He's experienced. He plays his role so well. He's as big as my wife.

With DJ returning... cmon RUN IT BACK.

I played a game of pickup basketball against Brawley and Xander Karagosian a couple years ago as a student. Brawley in particular stood out since he was probably the shortest guy on the court, but he is freakishly athletic. It was unbelievable how agile and bouncy he was. Both were really great guys and mentioned how much they were enjoying Athens and Albin. I’ll be rooting for both into the future, would love to see them back but whatever is best for the player.
