I’m sorry but I don’t think this is true at all. Every single person I have ever talked to including coaches had nothing but good things to say about Brawley and adored him, his personality, his work ethic, and his passion to win so we might’ve just been seeing that. In my opinion I think he might of went through a lot more than we know this past season. He gave us blood, sweat, and tears for 3 years so maybe he was just ready to get a fresh start in a conference with better resources for their players.

I sit right behind the defensive bench and listened to it.

Do they get picked back up eventually? Or 1K+ of these guys wash out entirely?

Yes, you can find articles when it’s all said and done after both Portal Seasons on, UP, DOWN or OUT. Same for basketball. And as Mike and I discussed somewhere, with each team having to shed on average 23 roster spots, the numbers will be greater this year.

Of the 3,000 portal jumpers... 1000 came from the P5 and only 800 signed with other P5, but 200 went G5. Of 1500 G5, 300 went up.... 700 went to FCS, 200 went D2, etc

How many of those were scholarship players? 500 people gave up scholarships to go home and watch games on TV.

Yes, that’s what I mean, they generally come out every summer after the rosters get set. I do not have time right now to look up past numbers, but that information is being kept. And the data should not encourage such widespread movement. But hey, at the age of 20, most of us didn’t understand our limitations.

He played in JUCO until 2023. So academically he could be a JR here. Or maybe even a sophomore if we’re talking about a redshirt for only playing 3 games.

Could be an interesting player. Highly experienced. Sounds like he’s battled some injuries. 2019 high school grad .

I really can't wait to see how that situation unfolds. It's an absolute disaster and has to somewhat hurt their recruiting in the portal (even if the kid is proven wrong in the end).
