I getting 8-5 or 9-4 fever right now. Few 'Cats included on this list--but I'm not too worried. Maybe a surprise here and there.

That's the 2020 postseason list.

I should've double-checked--it looks similar. I've only seen the full list on Twitter. Other schools have publicized their selections.

Phil Steele has only one Bobcat as first team all conference. He will be wrong on that assumption.

Since 2003, Ohio has won the East as often as anybody else -- five times, as has Fiami. Buffalo and BG have won it three times each, Akron twice and Kent once. So picking Ohio to win the East is as good a bet as any.

I like the positivity.

I usually like a lot of what Phil Steele has to say but I think that the number of Ohio players on his "ALL MAC" offense and defense in 2021 is too low with only 5 Ohio players total out of 88 total MAC players on his four-team ALL MAC roster.

For instance, Jarren Hampton is not the 9th or lower best safety in the league. no way

Hagen Meservy is not the 9th or lower best guard in this league.

Isiah Cox is not the 13th or lower best receiver.

But even if Phil got the ALL MAC players close to right, here is the thing-Ohio has a lot of very good MAC players all over the roster and a lot of young talent.

Ohio can win a MAC title with an interior line of Sink, Danneker, and Meservy.

Ohio can win a MAC title with D-line Evans, Caesar, McCracken, and Matthews.

Ohio can win a MAC title with Cox, Odom, Ryan Luehrman, and Buckner.

Ohio can win a MAC title with Hudson, Birchette, Hampton, and Floyd/Collier

I'm excited to see what Albin does. I have a strong hunch that Ohio is going to surprise some people under Albin. I think Albin is going to do things differently in some respects and catch other teams off guard.

I'm hearing great things about the new strength coach and Tettleton could be great just in terms of being more relatable to players, closer in age, and someone who has done it at a high level at Ohio.

Excited about the season
