I lived directly across the hall from B Brown my Freshman year in James Hall. My roommate shared the news story this weekend with me and it was a gut punch. He was a gentle giant and genuinely a great person. He and I didn't stay in touch after college but every time I saw him during our later years of college I was greeted with a big smile and some love.

He and I actually used to use each others IDs to get dining hall meals and grab and go. I don't even remember why but I had the worst plan and he had the best but for some reason it worked for mutual benefit. I won't be mistaken for an African American Offensive lineman in many places but Boyd Dining Hall didn't seem to care.

We used to joke about walking places with B Brown and how we had to plan an extra 30 minutes to get uptown or to Ping as B Brown moved at his own pace and had to stop and chat up most people we walked by.

R.I.P. B. Brown, you'll be missed.

Sorry to hear about this. Any idea the cause of death? He was quite young.

This one stings really bad. He was our big brother when class of 2002 arrived. Just make sure to check on people throughout life and make sure they are ok. Last time I saw B. Brown was on campus at Ohio State. He was working 3rd shift and just patrolling the area near Brothers Bar. An endowment is being formulated in his name.

+1

If you knew B Brown, you’d know how hard this is on many of his teammates. There is a GoFundMe established to raise money for an endowment in his name. Please consider giving something. Fly Hi my brother
