I know it sounds weird since it's been a queen for most of my life, but it's now "God save the King," and it's "His Majesty's Ship." But, not being a Tory, I really don't care that much about British royalty.

As to RFK, I think he's interesting. I agree he's a little unglued in the vaccination arena because he overgeneralizes. I usually ask antivaxxers if they were bitten by a rabid dog would they refuse the rabies vaccine. So far, I haven't had one say they wouldn't take the shots, and they concede that well, not all vaccines are bad. Their arguments go downhill from there.

What's the media hiding, exactly?

Here are links of mainstream media coverage of RFK from the last couple of days. It took three minutes to find these.

The irony, of course, is that the NBC News link at the bottom gets it exactly right; he's not running to win, he's running to draw attention to his anti-vax crusade, through which he makes a whole lot of money. It's precisely because mainstream media will cover him that he's running. This is about him using his name and the media's obsession with the "horse race" to help mainstream his views on vaccines.

I don't get how anybody can watch this very, very obvious thing happening and conclude that "the media is trying to hide this story." They're actually being played like a fiddle.

RFK has, recently, said all of the following:

1) That vaccines cause autism.
2) That Anthony Fauci staged a "coup d'etat against Western Democracy"
3) 5G damages human DNA and is a tool of mass surveillance
4) Bill Gates is developing an "injectable chip" for the purposes of mass surveillance
5) That wifi is the cause of transgenderism

A "little unglued" because he "overgeneralizes" seems to undershoot things substantially. Those are not general statements. They're very specific accusations with so little grounding in truth that there are basically only two possibilities: 1) he's a grifter who sees, like many do, how American's tendency towards conspiracy can be lucrative or 2) He's not very smart and lacks much by way of critical thinking skills.

Either of those should be disqualifying. Sadly, so many Americans have become so obsessed with the right to say anything they they've stopped being critical about the actual things said and what they mean.

Most of the articles you point to (I don't subscribe to several and my free usage was already past so couldn't read them) Have within the opening "Kennedy, an anti-vaccine activist" or resinates well with right wingers.

You point to the NY Post and Guardian and both articles are about either mainstream outlets wanting to end the Kennedy run OR the lack of mainstream positive points that Kennedy brings to the table are mentioned at the end of the article if at all.

Why don't all articles on Biden start with, "He fell down the steps again or the President is now talking to Jesus to invoke a Lazarus occurrence to "God save the Queen" . The dead one, save her God!

And the media will cover RFK when he wins the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries due to Biden's election engineering to get SC to be first. By the time SC comes about, the President will be last!

Okay. Again, RFK spent 12 years focused on a single issue. It's an issue where he's wrong, and often pushes harmful, unfounded conspiracy theories. He's now "trying" to run the country. You think the role of media is to ignore that?

He's continued over the last two weeks to push conspiracy theories, including on his appearance on the Joe Rogan show. He's choosing to talk about these things, still.

There is a lot of coverage about Biden's age and gaffes. He's not a particularly popular president. But he's also, you know, the president. He is responsible for a lot that goes well beyond those gaffes. The media is focusing on what RFK Jr himself has focused on for the last 12 years.

It's quite clear you don't like Biden and are interested in a primary challenger. And you want the media to ignore RFK Jr's insane beliefs on vaccines to bolster his campaign. It's more than a little bit hypocritical that you think it's the media who is biased here.

Who only hear the name / initials. They don't agree with (nor know) his policies or nutty beliefs - nor do the rest of the Kennedy family. What limited support he has will evaporate once voters attach the views to the candidate.

Once the media has the balls to ask RFK that, his 15 minutes will be over. ASAP.

Baskin-Robbins should name the current flavor of the month - "RFK Jr."

Related: the COVID Vaccine and Operation Warp Speed should have been Trump's greatest single accomplishment and Republicans should be campaigning on it for a decade.

But they're so in bed with conspiracy theorists who decided the COVID vaccines were sone nefarious plot by Gates and evil, evil Marxists or whatever that no Republican even has the balls to admit that the vaccines worked.

The tail wags the dog, and the tail's dumb. Operation Warp Speed saved hundreds of thousands of not millions of lives, and instead of taking credit for that, they're clamoring for the idiot vote.

For the record, I didn't see this kind of reference anywhere else, but this challenge to antivaxers came natural to me, because I've been keeping up on the literature on rabies for years. Sometime truth in medicine can be stranger than fiction: There was one case about 30 years ago were two people in Texas died of rabies. There was no history of a bite in either case. They did a very extensive autopsy and chemical analysis of the body and discovered that the rabies virus that had killed these two was a bat variant. However, in this case neither had been bitten by a bat. Extensive research discovered that both of them had received corneal transplants from cadaver donors. Further research revealed both corneas were from the same donor who had died of prevously undiagnosed rabies.

One reason for my long-time interest in this subject is that when I was growing up in Athens there was a very rare case of a child dying of rabies without a history of a known bite. As a result the school authorities decided to scare all the local kids by telling them that they might get rabies if they went out in the woods and got scratched by a thorn that a rabid animal had slobbered on. Then they showed us a movie about human rabies with children twitching and frothing at the mouth while dying of rabies. I was in junior high school at the time. The child that died I believe was a grade school student. They never did figure out how this child acquired rabies, but that didn't keep them from all sorts of wild speculation.
