Two new recruits, one of which looks like he will be eligible this fall.  He's a JUCO from Georgia whose listed as a TE, but might make that road grader FB that our Certified Pigskin Analyst has been advocating for so long.  Apparently he was originally an Auburn recruit who ended up at Georgia Military.  I don't have a subscription so I can't actually read the stories.   Maybe someone else with access can post the details.

Please see the football recruiting board: http://www.bobcatattack.com/messageboard/forum.asp?PID=7

While Knight is a recent commit, Russell is not.

Good point, Ted.

Knight is the one of greatest interest to me because of the lateness of his commitment, his size, his apparent athleticism (given that he once was an Auburn recruit) and his (I assume) immediate eligibility.  Does anyone have any idea how Frank plans to use this guy?

Seems like he's a 2011 recruit OCF and may be on campus for Spring practice since he'll graduate in March from JC.

Sounds like a stud blocker, hope he can use some of that speed to catch some passes ass well.

Knight will be part of the 2011 class. He needs to graduate from community college, which according to Scout, will happen in March.

Thanks, guys, I had assumed from what little information I had and the fact that this was sent to me as breaking news that he had already graduated from GMC.  BTW, I was on the campus of GMC a few years ago.  It's a very beautiful setting in the old capital of Georgia.   The main administration building is the old capitol building.  When Sherman came a calling in 1864, some of his officers conducted mock sessions of the Georgia Legislature in the capitol and, among other things, passed a law abolishing slavery.  No extra charge for the history lesson!
