This garbage schedule has been known for about 2 months yet the actual tickets will not be arriving in time for the epic tilt with Wooford.

I still have no idea why we went away from the credit card style tickets in favor of the paper tickets. The credit card style was too convenient. Norris or whoever, no need to pipe in about some affiliate marketing deal that was signed to move money from the left pocket to the right. The end user got jammed on it.

Poor guy had to call my cell today and leave me a message that "they just couldn't get the tickets mailed out in time." Naturally.

I swear, we just can't get out of our own way. Woof. Woof. Wooford.

My guess would be pass-along.

How many season ticket holders do you think go to every game each season? 70% maybe? For that other 30% how easy is it to send out an email letting your friends know that you'll be outta town, but you have two extra tickets to the Bobcat game and to mail them, or drop them off, or whatever to the interested party who will be in town (make your joke about nobody accepting two tickets to watch Wofford here). With the cards you'd have to worry about getting it back from them if there were remaining games that season which could be a bit of a hassle. With the traditional paper tickets a season ticket holder can give away those game tickets and never worry about it again. In the meantime, if the "borrower" goes to the game and has a good time, and decides to attend a future game... well, that's why we have marketing.

Or was I one of the "whoevers" that you asked not to pipe in?

The old card system allowed you to transfer tickets without handing over your card.  I don't remember the specifics of how the tickets were actually delivered (i.e. will call vs. mail), but you could go online and assign your tickets to a particular game(s) to someone else, and then they received paper tickets.

That having been said, I personally have always preferred paper tickets.

Is this a problem with a bunch of season ticket holders?  I already recieved my tickets.

And yeah, I am one of those who likes having a paper ticket.

Coincidence, or not - that the guy needing his tickets to get in for his immediate walkout - didn't receive his tickets? ;-)

Got mine a week ago, too.  Well, not to put forth a conspiracy theory, but let me just point out that it's been said that the AD has assigned a staffer to monitor what's said on bobcatattack.com and "take names and numbers."  Could it be that what we are seeing is counterinsurgency to the civil disobedience being planned by a certain party against the duly appointed athletic governance of the University.  [Note:Those who don't understand sarcasm should disregard this post, otherwise you'll be totally confused and jump to the wrong conclusion.]

Love, here is your answer to the paper tickets vs. cards discussion:  Lori Moorman was the head of ticket operations for the years we had cards.  They were cool and convenient, but really expensive.  The price the company was charging for the cards was outrageous.  I don't rememeber the exact price per card, but it was a lot.  I preferred the card, but not if it meant extra expenses to the department just to issue tickets.

Very strange thread.  Got my tickets awhile ago.  Got my OSU tickets as well.  And, paper tickets are just fine.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

I'm still waiting on my tickets.  They said they should be in my mailbox today.  I re-upped in April or May.

I got a call just like The Love's on Friday...Guess I'm on the hit list too...The AD must have archived the old bobcatattack threads cuz I'm pretty sure I haven't said anything disparaging since the crash!

Passenger pigeon dropped mine off last night.  I received a telegram via pony express that they would be here in time for the game.

I called and walked down to pick mine up at the ticket office.  Looks to be quite a few to be picked up at will call.  Hopefully this will be smoother next year.  i do have to say everyone in the ticket office has been really nice and helpful.
