I don't have the most keen football eye, but it seemed that every time I looked, I noticed that Davidson was flanking Boo, rather than lining up behind him in the pistol. Anyone know why that might be? What advantages, disadvantages are there to this?

They lined up in the pistole a couple of times, at least once they lined up in it it, and then motioned out.

We will have to see it Saturday for a glimmer of hope. In fact, I bet we see Boo and Phil Bates in at the same time.

Neither is a running back, so I am not so sure what lining the two of them up in a "Pistol" would give you?  Now out wide, that gives you a little wrinkle.  Being two QB's in the backfield, I am going to dismiss our running game even more than I currently do.

I meant to say , "On the field at the same time."  Both in the backfield would not be productive.

I would say it was placed securely in the holster with the safety lock on, based on the lack of performance exhibited.
