I say we redshirt the both of them.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

What is Brazill's injury and severity?

No question, for the sake of both of their NFL aspirations. Don't risk further injury to these guys.

Exactly what I am thinking. Brazill has a bad knee.

Keller was at the game last night. He was on crutches and his foot looked to be in a cast. Definitely looked like a guy who's not coming back this season. Did not see Brazill on the sideline.

This news, plus the post about Boykin's shoulder, should be enough to touch off the annual, obligatory conditioning rant.  I can't wait!

From what I gather, they can only play 20% of the season and still be granted a redshirt.  Since both of them played in the OSU game, that would be over 20% of the season even if we went to the MAC title game and a bowl game, neither of which look very likely at this point.  Obviously some exceptions are made, but who knows at this point.

It's actually 30% of the season or three contests, whichever is greater.

Correction: I've just been informed that Brazzil's current problem with lack of playing time may not be injury related.

I would say it is NOT a "rant" if it is based on "facts".  I know we are all more familiar with OUr team than others but here in Cincy, I sure don't remember hearing about the Bearcats having nearly the number of guys going down that we seem to have year after year (but I don't know if the facts would support that).

yeah lack of conditioning and weight training made Keller hurt his big toe.....I have been ranting for 10 years that we need to be doing more toe squats and toe curls to keep those tootsies strong!

Of course; it's elsewhere on the page, but we are now looking for an "Amen" to terminate it.

Is Vince Carlotta also injured?

He started and played basically every play at left guard the first two games. He started against Ohio State and played most of the plays (as much as any of the other linemen.) Jon Lechner started in his place against Marshall and Carlotta did not play. The five starting linemen played all but 11 plays. Carlotta has graded as the third best lineman on the team so far (1.81) behind Alex Mitchell (1.85) and Skyler Allen (1.83).

Carlotta is listed as the starter on the depth chart this week, but then again, so are Riley Dunlop and LaVon Brazill. Keller is not on the depth chart.

Also, is Gerald Moore supposed to be back?

This is where we keep seeing depth come into play. The Bobcats tend to play better during the second half of games and the second half of seasons. I'm not so concerned about injuries. Put it this way, if Ohio can lose its star MLB (the most important player on defense) and shut down a team in the second half of a ball game there isn't much to worry about. The biggest issue with the Bobcats this season I believe has been lack of a quality offensive game plan by the honorable OC Tim Albin. Think about how Boise State beat VT, they jumped out at them quickly. For whatever reason it takes Ohio an entire half to figure out what we want to do. Marshall was outscored 21-10 in the second half, just like they were outscored in the Pizza Bowl. Ohio needs to quick strike for 14 in the first quarter and not constantly play from behind.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

POY, so far, but the season is young.  I really love satire, and this was very good satire.

This year, you are correct.

But in four notable games last year--BG, Buffalo, NIU, and Temple--we did the exact opposite.

In 2010 we did outscore opponents in the fourth quarter (97-68), but we also did so in the first quarter (85-72). It was actually the second quarter we were outscored (85-74).
