Boo Jackson appears to be only 2 TD’s or 1 Zip away from tying/passing Cleve as the all-time TD pass leader in Ohio Football History.

In how many more games? Career college football records are meaningless.

I would think less games because he has only played one full season.  If Clev played two seasons even at 10 game seasons he would have more games played than Boo.

Tim (let facts get in the way) Burke, Boo should pass this mark in fewer games....but nice try.

Wow. I'm just a little shocked that Boo would be the career passing TD leader at OU.

#1 congrats to Boo for a tremendous accomplishment;

#2 what is Ohio's problem with recruiting quality QBs (from a historical perspective?) 30 career passing TDs is great, but to set a school record? That barely would crack the top three at schools like Kent or Akron.

Bill Hess was old school 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Then came the dark ages followed by the exciting Kareem Wilson option and Knor. Boo and Bates are a major upgrade and now with have Snyder, Tettleton and Roback in the wait the future is pretty bright.  We have yet to see what TT can do with the 1st team when he has the green light and Snyder may be the most accurate passer yet.

Kareem is #9 on the career passing TD list.

That's just incredible in light of the fact that one year he lead the nation in an antithetical category -- the fewest passes attempted by a QB.

But not that shocking.  When Kareem threw, it was usually a homerun ball. It meant a defense was selling out so bad to stop the option that we probably had three wide receivers open downfield.

I was watching Snyder in warm-ups.  Seems to have a very nice arm.

The problem has been with not having quality receivers and now Ohio has them en mass. A nice receiving core can make an average QB look great (Boo Jackson). Its a chicken or the egg thing, you can't have a good passing game without a quality QB and you can't attract a quality QB with out the receivers. The option attack which was in Athens for a better part of a decade made it impossible to recruit receivers. Ever since coach Dixon arrived in 2007 the receiving game has looked 100% better. What did we have to rely on before a converted track star like Scott Mayle? It takes years to recruit well at that position and I'm pleased to say all of the big receivers that once would be found at Marshall are now here instead.

Some of us are, indeed, interested in Snyder's ability to throw the competitive ball in live game circumstances.  I assume that means next season (no burn redshirt unless dire injuries).

I believe Solich said that TT would be used as QB #3 if one was needed in the first half of the season and that Snyder would be used as QB #3 in the second half of the season.  If that holds than TT is going to get his redshirt and while I'd like to see how Snyder can do as well, I'm hoping it's not because we need him this year.
