Is anyone else impressed with Ryan Boykin and thinking he needs to see the field more?  The frosh is picking up 6 yards every time he touches the ball, and today if you saw his carries in the fourth quarter it was clear that he constantly turns 2 yards into six has the ability to move the chain.   Davidson is a excellent back in the offense, but I suspect that if Boykin had taken over in the 3rd quarter when the Offense went ultra conversative we still would have seen first downs and the clock really managed.   Regardless, I feel really good with this Boykin, Harden and and Bates back for the running game next year.

Agree 100% about Boykin.  He's starting to have enough carries that his numbers are significant even if he's mostly in at the end of games.  We had too many runs up the middle today that went for no yardage.  Boykin probably gets something on those just out of 'mooseness.'

Our O-line is definitely developing but we are not yet great at straight ahead runs.

A nod to Boo and the offense for the nice coordination and ball movement in the running game.  Gotta be quite nifty in the timing with an end often coming around (jet sweep) in the backfield as a run option.  Contrast UCLA vs. Oregon in which the UCLA qb has his arms fully extended, waiting to had off to the running back--no deception at all; it's right out there in full view.

Boykin will be good..he is just behind some guys that are playing lights out..I love how we can call on a running game of Bates..Davidson..Harden..Boykin and Baker..not many teams have backs as multi talented as these guys for sure.

Time of Possession 3rd qtr:  Bobcats 10:25  Redsucks 4:35. Ultraconservative meaning "running the clock" and scoring two TDs (highest scoring qtr for Ohio). Redsucks have a quickstrike offense. Best defense: keep their offense on the bench. Excellant execution in the third qtr with big results.
