I am aware we have played some lesser opponents during our 6 game win streak, but this team has improved SIGNIFICANTLY.  This team is a totally different team than the one that played Wofford, Toledo, OSU, & Marshall.  I was as critical as anyone early on.  The offense was BRUTAL, and now I have much confidence in it.

The Offensive Line has improved more than anything.  It looked like we were gonna be missing Chris Rodgers & David White all year, but the other guys on the line have stepped up and improved greatly.  We have scored over 30 points in all 6 games during the streak.  If you would've told me we would pull that off after the our 1-3 start, I would've laughed at you.  The RBs have only been getting better too...Old fashion runs up the middle are very productive for this team.

The Bates end around turned into deep pass was not only flashy and productive, but genius.  I want to see more of it.  Bates is a great football player, but he's a marginal thrower.  Boo, on the other hand, is back to being the great QB we know he can be.  I want to see Bates & Boo on the field at the same time several times throughout the game.  They don't even have to use him most the time.  Give him an end around and let the DBs stay back thinking pass and have him pick up 10 yards.  Have him just sprint down the field and draw a DB or 2 away from the WRs.  Shift in the backfield and have the snap go to Bates.  There is so much you can do and so little the opponent can do to prepare for it.  I say we hit Temple hard with some crazy 2 QB action.

I know none of the teams during the streak are as good as Temple or Kent, but I think we have the ability to beat them both now.  We didn't at the end of September.  It is great to watch your team figure some things out and legitamately IMPROVE throughout a season.  Hats off to them and the coaches.  I can't help but start to make the comparison to our last basketball squad...

I think we actually regressed a bit in this game, that was the most penalties I've seen the offense commit all year.  I don't know if we were playing more reserve guys or what, but for a while there I thought it might cost us more than it did.

The penalties were so bad that people commenting on the game report on espn.com think we're point-shaving.

Penalties were bad, but execution, especially on the offensive side, is light years better than the start of the year.

LOL that makes no sense since we covered the spread last night, my buddy who gambles on games quite a bit said the spread was 16.5 and why he didn't bet.  I scolded him since I knew we could cover that, though it was a wee bit closer than I thought it might be.
