Obviously, the point is the system is broken if teams lose money through their "reward" of a bowl game. Yet, I've never seen a team that would actually lose money on a bowl decline, so there must some greater value than cash. And until that changes, the system probably won't change either. Also, I'm not sure what problem people have with the Little Ceasar's Bowl. Sure, Detroit is not an exciting place to go, but it is the most realistic bowl for fans to actually travel to and the cheapest for the team to travel to.
