Don't tell me it got deleted. I should not have to go to other blogs and message boards to get information on my own team.

Readers of the linked article should scroll down for a reply from a witness to the event. I have no comment except things rarely as they first appear. I anticipate more information from others from the scene. This may still be full of misinformation.

I'm wondering the same thing.  I understand it is a slippery slope to speculate about the incident, but this is largely a board of opinions.  I don't think anyone here is going to affect the legal process, so what is the harm in discussing it electronically the same way we would if we were gathered under the cherry trees in Tailgreat Park?

I played poker last night with one of my best friends who happens to be an optometrist.  I asked him about the likely damage to a hard punch to the face.  He said the part of the face around and under the eye is very fragile.  He said it would be pretty difficult for someone to be ready to play football in 10-12 days after suffering an injury like that.  It is certainly not Boo's specific diagnosis, but in general, a longer recovery than there is time in the regular season.

I think this is really an unfortunate way for the season to end.  Boo did what all of us have done at some point in our lives.  He put himself in a situation that could only get worse.  I have no problem with him being at the bar, but he needed to have the calmness to walk away before it escalated to the point it did.  Drunk or not, he had to take the higher road because he had way more to lose than the bouncer.  I hope he recovers quickly and is able to put on the uniform again.

You apparently didn't read the article.  It said he was already in the bar and it was his older brother that was doing the mouthing off and got hit.  Boo then apparently went outside to see what was going on and to try and break it up peacefully and the bartender apparently assumed he was coming in to continue the fight and just decked him.  That is the story at this point.

The opposing team sucks!

The word apparently says it all.  He got in the middle of a fight.  I want to believe he was there as a peacemaker and was not at fault.  I really do.  Boo is a really nice guy and has been a good leader for the team.  Again, it is just unfortunate it went down this way.

If boo was released from the hospital by saturday afternoon (~12 hours after being admitted), I almost wonder if it wasn't his brother with the serious/potentially permanent injuries to the bones around his eyes. One of the speakeasy articles mentioned that the older brother also had injuries to the orbital area. Could it be that the rumors that boo was facing partial blindness (I think this was in a thread posted yesterday. I was without internet access yesterday so I'm going off of what I remember C Money telling me) was in fact relating to his brother?

As I said on another thread, whether or not Boo is taking snaps a week from tuesday is inconsequential: the important thing is that he makes a full recovery. He's got, what, 2 more months of football in his future? I'm more concerned about his vision over his next 80 years of being a celebrated and proud OHIO alumnus.

Do you think that if Boo was facing partial blindness or an unstable facial fracture he would be home later that night tweeting that he was doing "good"?  Probably not.
