Seven tackles against KC; second-best on the team. I got to see the last two minutes of regulation and the OT. He was always near the ball on defense and even kick coverage. Great to see.

Mike, also got toasted on KC's last TD which put Oakland down 20-17 in the fourth quarter.

What is negative? I posted a fact, if a fact is negative so be it! Did I ever say boo? did I ever say anything along the lines of the guy doesn't belong?

Mike is very solid against the run, but needs to improve against the pass, and he is having a pretty good year.

The Missile also deflected this pass in the end zone that was intercepted and killed a 2nd qtr KC drive. It was a tremendous, athletic play.

I missed that play, listened to the 1st half in and out and got to watch the 4th quarter and the OT. Amazing win after a 1st half with only two first downs.

Here's a GREAT link below to a page tagged only for Mike Mitchell. The first post is a great video of Mike speaking after this weeks game about the brotherhood on the team . When was the last time you heard/saw a defensive safety this articulate in the NFL? Too bad he was sporting a Yankee hat instead of one from his college days.

Following the video, The Silver & Black Report gives out mid-season grade and they label Mitchell "Mr. Spark Plug"... He’s fiery, fierce and highly energetic. When Mitchell blitzes, he gets to his target. And when he gets there, he generally delivers big hits."
