Here's hoping Boo gets well soon and that there is no permanent damage. I couldn't care less about whether he'll be taking snaps next tuesday or not, that pales in comparison to his long-term health and well-being.

 Boo

I just heard about this and literally feel sick to my stomach. Boo has been a wonderful representative of the green and white and doesn't deserve for his career here to end this way.

Best wishes for a full recovery.

You are absolutely correct.  .  His health and welfare is the most important thing - more important than risking further injury and health issues to himself.   Thoughts and prayers for BOO - hoping he gets 100% well.  Seeing him shake hands with the 110 before games and greeting the other players and parents before the game on senior night just shows his great  character and leadership.   His football skills, abilities and contributions will always be remembered.  He is our TD passing career leader.  Thanks No. 8!  It would be great to see him on the field again.  But, if he can't go, the BOBCATS have the ability and coaching to do it for themselves, Boo and OU.
GO CATS!

I think we fans often get too wrapped up in the players as players and forget they're people too, with a life after football to think about.  Boo, we hope get well so you can have a long and happy life and keep on being the person we've come to admire.

Ted posted this in another thread (Ted -- hope you don't mind that I copied it over here); if true, this is really good news:

Some news agencies and Jason Arkley's Twitter are quoting the Athens PD's official release on the incident. No charges were filed as they were unable to ascertain who threw the first punch. Boo was taked to a Columbus hospital because it was feared he might have a facial fracture. Apparently, that's not the case and he may have  a slight concussion.

We will survive.
