Temple was flirting with breaking into the Top 25 and was considered by voters as deserving of the number 31 slot. Should logic prevail (fat chance) then the Bobcats may be close to being ranked. Win out the next two and then we should expect Ohio to be ranked in the Top 25 or 30.
This program sure has earned the recognition.

Getting votes in the polls, yes.  Cracking top 25 or 30, probably not.  The Cats started the year with about the third easiest schedule in the country, and it may have moved up a little, thanks to Wofford having a great year.  But the Terd and Louisiana will wind up as sub-500 teams.  Counting Wofford, the Cats are only 3-2 against winning teams.  Temple and NIU at least played more Big Six schools, but have had problems getting votes.  Temple's nonconference schedule was Penn State, UConn, Army (all with winning records) and a good Villanova team, and managed -- at best -- a handful of votes; NIU had Iowa State, Illinois and Minnesota, and has been able to do a bit better, thanks to being unbeaten in the MAC.   And both Temps and NIU have the benefit of being in/near a major media market, which the Cats don't.

To be quite honest, I'm not sure any MAC team deserves top 25 votes. Maybe Northern Illinois. I don't think any MAC shools have beat a top 25 team. Ohio could get some votes, though, but I wouldn't exepct more than a handful even if the Bobcats win out.

Even if we were 10-1 right now I'm not sure we would be in the Top 50.  OUr strength of schedule is very weak.

Even with the weakest of scheds, it's awfully difficult to go undefeated.  There are too many good teams, good coaching and physical development and such.  The fact that we have lost three is kinda a backside way of showing that ya gotta be good all year to lose none or just one.  So, if we were 10-1 we would be getting notice.

Just win out and finish 11 & 3 and Ohio will be ranked in the top 25 in the final AP Top 25 Poll.

Polls are stupid. Why even bother worrying about them?

The only way we'd be in the Top 20 is if we were undefeated.  The only team of any significance we've played so far, other than Temple, is OSU.  The MAC doesn't get enough respect nationwide right now IMHO for us to be in the Top 20 if we were 10-1.

OHIO goes 10-0 beating #1 ranked OSU in the process I'd say the Bobcats would be ranked no less than #5. A win over OSU would have instantly put Ohio in the top 20 then with OSU's continued strong performance plus Ohio's undefeated season abeit close wins would have us slowly shooting up the rankings. Ohio loses to Ohio State this team is probably about #22 with a 10-1 record. Nevada is sitting at #18 this week in the BCS standings with and they are only 2-1 against teams with a winning record. Also, I would not be surprised to see some votes for the top 25 this week as the Bobcats dismantled a top 30 team on national TV. Winning on national TV its usually the biggest boost, remember how UCF shot into the rankings after beating Houston on Friday night ESPN.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086
