On two occassions--yesterday and a week earlier on Omaha sports talk show, 1620 The Zone--ESPN's, Tom Luginbill, made similiar observations.  He expressed great admiration for Frank Solich's remarkable record at both Nebraska and Ohio.  On the earlier show Luginbill said he believed Coach Solich would be "a perfect fit" for Colorado's vacant head coaching job, but agreed with the Pre-Snap writer that Solich's age was a perceived negative hard to overcome.   Apparently, veteran coaches with great records are not in demand.  Lucky us.  Got Frank!

And, maybe, just maybe, Frank wouldn't be interested in the Colorado job if offerred.  Just remember, it takes two to tango.  At this stage in his career, Frank may want to go out with a flame of glory at Ohio and then ride of into the sunset.  I suspect that the one thing that might make Frank think about one more job before he retires would be if McDavis quit as prez.  He has great support at that level and he never misses a chance to say how important it is to him.

From a distance I see that Frank likes his players, they like him, this team is getting deeper and better, and Coach can concentrate on what he likes and is splendid at:  football.  No silly distractions.

Coach has to be plenty excited abOUt what he's building.

It was true from moment one and it's more true than ever:

GOTFRANK.
