Playing Boise on the road is not going to be pretty....can't complain about not getting a big name opponent though.

Boise fans have to be absolutely out of their mind right now.  They went from the BCS title game to playing a slightly above-average MAC team just because they lost to a RANKED opponent ON THE ROAD.   If that doesn't show you that college football is screwed up, nothing will.

If that ends up being the matchup, Boise may set the record for highest margin of victory ever in a bowl game.

Granted, this article is a tad dated but does anyone have factual knowledge that things have changed.

The CBS predictions do not take into consideration some of the contingency arrangements. Notre Dame is almost a lock for the Champs Sports Bowl per their arrangement with the Big East. They will not be playing in Detroit. NIU then will be looking for the  best matchup available and that could be Boise coupled with the nice payout for the game it would be a win-win. That would allow Toledo to invade the Little Ceasars game. Miami looks GMAC bound and they would be well suited for an SBC team. Ohio is probably playing in the New Mexico Bowl vs. Fresno State. We will see pending the outcome of games today.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

It's sort of indicative of how our banking system has been since then. Bowls are now "too big to fail" and are pushing the guaranteed profit responsibility down to the customer. There's no incentive for the bowls or the bowl system to create a quality product. It's all reward and no risk for them. I like UCLA's line of thinking, but it only works if everyone colludes and takes the same action. There's no "consumer protection agency" fighting for the best interests of the schools.

regarding  cbs bowl projections- interesting to see us listed as #3 MAC. I guess the Kent loss wasn't the end of the world after all.
