A couple of Observations

We need to recruit two QB's, Boo Jackson and Theo were middle of the road MAC guys and that just is not good enough. We need to recruit better tailbacks we haven't had a great tailback since MCRae. Boykin has potential, needs to get faster and get some reps.We willhave the best receiver corps,linebacker corps, and safeties in the MAC next year and we would be cheating ourselves if we didn't come out here with better Qb's, Rb's and OL and DL. They need immediate help in these areas. Three wideouts on this team have NFL ability and we don't have quarterbacks to get them the rock. GO CATS 2001

The way we closed the Temple game set the tone for Kent State to beat up. Players thought we won the division title with 3 minutes left in Philadelphia and play sloppy last 3 minutes against Temple and today they sleepwalked for 4 quarters. You can't just turn it on and off. We assumed Temple was a sure thing against Miami and would coast in. Instead we we caught flat footed today.

So all we need are better QBs RBs, OLs and DLs?

It is the truth we are average at best there.

allen, I believe the OL will be the strength of the team. Good enough that the RBs will be productive and that Bates wi not need to be great. I expect to see a combination QB situation again. Put the best passer in a rotation with Bates and give the fans something to puzzle over.
