Congrats.  The fact the MAC coaches continue to move up to BCS schools is a good thing.  Means we will continue to get young movers and shakers.  Also should mean we can schedule those teams in the future,

Funny how life comes full circle.  When Ohio made the GMAC Bowl in Jan. 2007, Coach Solich was rumored to be taking the Minnesota job at that time.

I understand the reality of it, but that doesn't mean I like it. We need all the good coaches we can get, and Kill is a good coach.

The funny part is how Gopher fans are losing their sh!t about it. They act like they're replacing Nick Saban with Nick Jonas. They're talking about how bad he is, and how the MAC sucks, etc. etc. while completely omitting the fact that JERRY KILL'S MAC TEAM BEAT THE GOPHERS THIS YEAR!  Uh, hello. They're so delusional they make Temple fans looks (almost) normal. You know there's going to be some misguided self importance happening on a board called "The 6 National Titles Football Forum". Roflcopter.

I remember the howling from some OSU quarters when Tressel was hired; how could anyone from YOUNGSTOWN STATE take over the helm of the most prized football team in the world?  Ten years, a national championship, seven Big Televen championships and a 105-22 record later and some are still howling every time A&M doesn't humiliate its opponent.  Good luck, Mr. Kill.  You'll need it.

We will get by.

After Minnesota won the Floyd of Rosedale, I thought the guy that was the interm head coach would get a shot.

Congrats to coach Kill.

It is going to be a rough ride for him. With Nebraska coming into the conference, it will be hard to get above .500 in conference winning percentage. This job has become another Big 10 "coach's career killer".

I'd imagine that if this doesn't work out, Joel Maturi won't be making the next hire.

Understand where you are coming from, but they have a nice new facility that they can show off. It will not be an overnight fix though.

Get your paycheck Killroy and be prepared to be fired in 3-4 years tops.
