Really? At least when FATMAN had a 4th and about a yard at about the FIU 30 on their last drive they brought in a 300 lb lineman as a lead blocker.  Defenders danced out of the 300-lb guy's pile-of-momentum path, allowing their qb to get the first down. Good thing none of us here have ever suggested using a big guy as a lead blocking back in short yardage and that we haven't used that.  Why would we ever want to try that. Where's the band?! I hate to say it, but those were the years that The Terd was beating the crap out of most everybody in the league.  Maybe it made the rest of the MAC elevate its recruiting.  Or maybe the conference just lucked out and got a ton of talent all at once.
