I have now watched the press conference 2 times and the only thing I have come away with is that Frank stated that "This is his Best Recruiting Class at Ohio".
As we all know, Frank always chooses his words carefully and has not commented on any incoming players playing status.
So for him to make that statement about the class as a whole is huge.
He never seems to show much emotion, or tip his hand.
He also mentioned that they approached this class looking for player with integrity. Obviously he doesn't want any problems to arise during these players time at Ohio. I would think that this might mean he did not take any chances on players that may be a great talent but also has shown to have some disciplinary issues.
I'm also sure that when he lectures the players not to go out on Halloween, or to stay away from certain establishment he needs to have confidence that these player will listen and adhere to these rules.

In summary the future is looking better and hopefully this will translate into improved consistency and more winning seasons, maybe a MAC Championship & Bowl wins.

I haven't followed anyone in particular, mainly because on the high school level it's hard to know whether a person's performance is mainly because of their skills or the opposition's lack of skill.  But looking at the group, I'm glad to see lots of linemen on both sides of the ball.  No matter what the strategy, games will always be won or lost at the line.  Although Antwon Crutcher got the most press among the DLs, I like the size of Andrew Bennett -- 6-6, 245 (anyone remember the song, "Big Bad John"?).  Could be speed and power.  Should be interesting to see him and OL Mike McQueen -- 6-7, 278; same weight as Crutcher but six more inches of height -- hook up in practice.  And OLs Michael Curtis at 6-5, 315 and Lucas Powell at 6-4, 294 will be hard to move, and might even become our goal line backs ala the Fridge.

We will get by.
We will get by.
We will get by.
We will survive.

Well said Brother Cats.

Crutcher and Welter and Russell have the 3 stars and the 3 star look on tape.

Highlights of course can be skewed by the competition....but when you see a guy like Devin Bass do a 70 yard Barry Sanders like punt return in a championship game you have to sit back and say wow.  I know Bass was not highly recruited and his coach pitched him in yeoman style...but a highlight like that speaks for itself....you can't coach moves like that.

Eric Price is another that may surprise. We need some pressure on the QB and he looks like a Tremayne Scott type athlete.....tall and slender but quick.

Aaron Macer should be redshirted....but we need safety help and he has the perfect blend of speed and size and smarts.  On his video I noticed an end zone or near end zone interception and an entire field return for a TD.

I actually like all our recruits this year....like in the fact that I think they can eventually contribute.  I've been reluctant to say that on many a class in the distant and hopefully never returned to in my lifetime past.

Goal line might look something like; Clark TE right, Knight TE motion right, Carl Jones, RB with Bates. Just me scratching in the dirt.

I predict we have some real game changers in this class and several will be pushing hard to start this next season.
Looks like maybe this class will answer the rebuilding questions early.

Hanging in there!

Hopefully Frank's find a QB that can start for numerous years, not get hurt, and improve on the current TD / INT ratio. I don't think I am asking for much, do you?

I received a nice piece of outreach today from the Bobcat Club: a 2011 Signing Day Recap and promotion for the upcoming caravans, and in addition a DVD with the recruiting videos that were presented by the coaching staff.

Just wanted to point out something positive in the direct mail department after all the comments regarding those that missed the target last fall.

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.
