I am impressed by seeing a whole slew of our senior- to be footballers graduating (photos on Ohio Bobcats site). Dunlop, Bates, Hershey, Clark, and King are the ones that come to mind. The term-student-athletes- seems very appropriate for these guys.  Congratulations to the athletes for doing the work and to the coaches for bringing us guys who aren't just jocks.

Especially in light of what has been transpiring the past few months up the road in Central Ohio.

Think Hershey would go up to the stage for the diploma then fake the retrieval from McDavis opting to leave the stage in favor of a graduate degree?

Good call. Except I think he'd jump over McDavis.

Congrats to the grads--I sat through the first session of about 2000 names called and I'll admit I didn't hear any called but then even kids I knew, in a particular college and we were waiting for their name was still easy to miss the announcement of their name.  The announcers were amazing--two lines--a grad would hand the card to the announcer and when the other announcer was finished with the other line, this announcer would read the card--many very difficult pronunciations were apparently made effortlessly--they have talent!

Those football players that have eligibility remaining and who actually have the hours to graduate currently and not merely walk the stage and really graduate in November, are they allowed to start picking up graduate level courses or do they have to remain taking undergrad courses and perhaps pick up something to round out their education?  I realize some will just take the minimum to be considered full time; I'm really wondering if NCAA rules allow for the scholarship to cover graduate level courses?

Enthralling speaker as well--good selection by the powers that be.
