Article in today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette about Haywood.  Just curious as to what he is trying to achieve with this?

Trying to get money, I would imagine. Didn't OCF say Pitt might have jumped the gun and could pay dearly?

Looks like Miami hasn't gotten their buyout yet. This is gonna get messy for Pitt.

I don't have any problem with this at all, Pitt apparently took the initial report and reacted without conducting an investigation into the events that occurred. Coach is currently working in the oil business in Texas.

Yes, I did and I'm glad that you remembered.  You're right that this is going to be a big fat mess for Pitt.  I think in that previous post I also pointed out the AD involved in this firing was that same esteemed dude who was the central cog in Frank's firing at Nebraska.  I think this is one more example of how he tends to shoot first and ask questions latter.

Pitt did jump the gun on this before it had played out. Pederson does shoot first and ask questions later. Obviosly, you would like to terminate the guy, as he hasn't done one thing for you then this thing happens. It seems to me that Pitt interpreted the morals clause in his contract much differently than his lawyers. It's worth a shot for him.
