Me too. I have been forecasting a very good year, possibly unbeaten for 2011 for a long time, and people thought I was crazy. Now that they have looked at the schedule, I think a lot of people realize that if Ohio is going to have an unbeaten season, this is the year for it. If someone steps up and has a solid season at QB, it could be a season to remember. Note that the QB doesn't need to carry the team; they just need to be solid, and not make mistakes.

I'm not ready to say we can go undefeated but I can see us having a very good record this year with the super easy schedule we have. There are still some question marks but it should be a fun season.

I am very interested in how Tettleton will do as the starter this year. I'm assuming its his job to lose considering how he played during the spring and how shaky Bates was last season.

Just the possibility of going to three straight bowl games (while having a different starting QB each season) is a very exciting thought to me. I never would of guessed this happening when I decided to attend Ohio University

Our defense simply needs to be better. Of our three bowl teams, last year's unit was by far the worst defensive unit. We are replacing our entire front four. Way too many question marks to predict even 10 wins at this point, let alone an undefeated campaign.

Not to mention the loss of Posey, Fletcher, Jackson (Steve and Kenny) and Dawson. I'm actually more worried about that then the boys upfront. At least we know Neal and Carl will be fine.

Plus, you never really know for sure how difficult a schedule will be until the season actually develops.

Right because we all know that by October 1st Akron and Buffalo will be assuming their traditional rankings in the AP top 10..

LC hit the nail on the head. Solid play and minimal errors. If we cut the turnovers in 1/2 we will have more plays on offense than LY and that could lead to more scoring opportunities. Also by it's nature a turnover in todays game is a momentum changer, especially with INT's, and we all know how many INT's Boo threw LY.

When Jim Grobe took over an 0-11 Ohio program, he commented that even lousy teams should be lucky enough to win one game - as evidenced last year by Akron.

It also would seem that luck - of the bad variety - explains why so few teams manage to go undefeated.

About 66 days away from foot thunks spheroid--definitely time to start the countdown clock.

And to make reservations to travel to NMSU.  We should have 20k OHIO in those stands.

Then they're gonna need some rental bleachers, because I don't think their stadium holds 20k!

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.

Actually it holds more than 30K.

Looks like a pretty nice stadium from I-25 (passed it just Tuesday), but I've never been in it so I can't say what it's really like.  That being said, I doubt they fill it very often except perhaps when they play UNM.

Wow, that looks like a great facility. I looked up their attendance from last year and it was just over 15,000...so about 50% capacity on average.

Of course, the WAC has only eight members this year.  It ain't what it used to be.
