Solid take here. I found the section "Bates Does It All: Part 2," particularly interesting. That really shows great awareness on the part of both Bates and Snyder to recognize the defense, communicate, and adjust for mismatches.

Such a relief to see him fitting in so well! Loved the reference to him as Ohio's X-Acto knife. Even though he transferred to stay at QB, he's done an outstanding job adapting and I love that the Coaching staff is getting him in everywhere they can when it makes sense. He's got a future on Sundays...

Also loved the look on the Marshall Coach's face during one of TJ's INT's...Priceless

Yeah, that was a nice play, and you could actually see it from ESPN3. Bates points downfield as if to say "let's go this way." After the snap Bates plows his guy five yards toward the sideline and Snyder runs the option for a big gain.
