So...Are You Gonna Beat Rutgers ?

Despite the uncivilized reception and deviant behaviors exhibited toward me on this cyber patch, I will be cheering on the Bobcats this Saturday.

is a tragic place to seek higher education and their FB and BB teams are as nappy as they come. I would boast about the Cats chances but I have been banned on that site since 2002 when I compared a visit to

Rutgers

Stadium like making an emergency stop in a Sunoco restroom. And now they have the audacity to call that toilet High Points Solutions Stadium .

I will steer clear of the game but I usually make it a habit of playing 4 1/2 pt dogs anywhere they're found. Looks like

Schiano

has already laid some of the excuses down by calling Ohio "probably the best team in that league. Their offense is certainly one of the best in the country right now the way they're performing."

So perform, please.

Appreciate the support. When push comes to shove, I'll root for MAC teams all the time in non-conference games, and I'm guessing you'll have several people here who will be pulling for your Owls in College Park. Good luck watching that game in whatever retina burning uniform combo Maryland decides to wear.

FYI - Rutgers stadium has undergone renovations since the last time the Bobcats were in Piscataway.

Thanks for the thought. No disrespect to your Owls, but this may be the Cats' toughest game of the year. First, the Cats need to come down from the high after destroying the Terd. Second, Rutgers is at least a pretty good team and they're coming off a bye week, with no game next week to cause them to look past us. They'll be ready and focused. Third, Schiano is shaking up the lineup in hopes of getting more production out of the running game, so we might quite know what to expect. If the Cats come away with a W, we'll really know they're for real.

Best of luck to your Owls against the suddenly fashion-challenged turtles.

Hey, MH, on an unrelated note...saw this week that one of your Owls has been recognized for exemplary community service -- I believe among just 11 D1 players in the country. If you're waiting for some smart-a$$ comment, don't hold your breath. His is the sort of agenda that needs to be encouraged and applauded. Good show!

Hey, conference rivals or not, our OOC wins all help the conference's stature -- thus, I pulled hard for you guys against Joe Pa, and will be pulling hard again against the Turtles. Hope we can both pick up some wins and make our game this Fall a very meaningful meeting once more.

The MAC has some interesting games Saturday. Ohio @ Rutgers, Temple @ Maryland, Uconn @ Buffalo, Toledo @ Syracuse.

Gotta get some Ws.

(Honestly, I think Toledo is the best team in the MAC.)

190 posts in 4 years , about 4 a month ? I would hope your Admin doesn't think that's prolific plus I wanted to throw Carey a 1,000 view bone.

I would caution attack posters who view this thread as an olive branch. I quite enjoy my reputation as an invincible foil on this pond. I just dislike Rutgers thaaaaaaaaaat much. I see our meeting in November for all the East's marbles as inevitable and I would be extremely disappointed if "]["emple isn't running on all 8 cylinders by then.

Thanks MH. Last week I was hoping for a Temps win over JoePa. This week I hope you destroy Maryland. I also hope Toledo and the Buffs win. The only way this league is to gain respect is to win these games. And yes, I hope we pound Rutgers as well.

I was at the last Rutgers game, and even before the renovation thought the atmosphere was outstanding. I will take going to an actual collegiate stadium - no matter what it's condition - over a 20%-filled NFL stadium any day of the week.
