This was reported in the Dispatch this morning:
Lembo tosses Ohio bouquet
First-year Ball State coach Pete Lembo said he wants his team to resemble Ohio University in time. The Cardinals play the Bobcats on Saturday in Peden Stadium.
“We’ve got a challenge,” he said. “I just think Ohio University’s a model program.
“First of all, you look at coach (Frank) Solich and his background. He has been there seven years and has had continuity on his staff. They are on the same page and work well together. They have recruited on a national basis, and that’s a sign of resources.”
Lembo said Ohio (4-2, 1-1) has been effective particularly because it has been able to groom players through a redshirt program.
“That’s where we want to be in three, four, five years,” he said.
