The also took stupid angles to the ball. They turned a 5 yard play into a touchdown. I still feel that if the refs call the TD out of bounds, that is Ohio by 6, if they don't call the horse collar, that is Ohio by 13, the Spear on Riley turns a FG into a TD, which is Ohio by 17. When the offensive player tried to pull away the only thing on our guys hand was the jersey. The other plays mentioned above didn't show a good replay to see them by. All in all I thought that we just got outplayed overall. Sure there were a few plays that we would like to have back, but the Beefs wanted the game just a little more than we did. But it was clear Buffalo outplayed the Cats today.  They had more fire on offense and had crisper tackling on defense.  They rose up and stopped us when the game was on the line.  Give them credit for being better than 1-4 shows.  Or maybe they were trying to get back at us like we wanted retribution on Kent last week.  We had won two in a row from them, including the last trip to Buffalo. Easy to see how refs ruined this game. Our depth issues on the line were an issue, but our embarrassing secondary play was the real culprit. They have been exposed.  Clearly UB's coaches watched the film from the second half at NMSU.  That's exactly how they attacked us in the first half. Well you guys have a good secondary and it was a close game. Why risk the turnover. Now that we have a solid running game we need a QB to manage the game and make a few good plays. The horse collar call was marginal.  After the tackle, I thought there was a chance it might be called.  But it probably should not have been called.  The defense looked flat for most of the game, but I think it's largely due to injuries.  We were way down the depth chart at several positions.
