He retweets an announcement that he is transferring to Southeast Missouri State. I wish good luck to him.

SEMO!

Too many quarterbacks fighting for the chance to back up a bowl winning underclassman.  That is an excellent problem to have.

Anyone remember when we played SemoState in the fall of...either 2004 or '05 (my junior or senior year, I can't remember which). I remember 2 things about that game
1) We won (a rare enough occurence in those days that it sticks in my mind)
2) Their backup QB was a guy named Goodenough. I remember this because we kept saying to each other "Well, he's goodenough to play backup, but not goodenough to be the starter" or something along those lines.

Good luck Kyle

Does this increase the chances that Vick sticks around?

So, heading into spring, we're T^2 #1, Vick #2, and....Roback #3? True Frosh #3?

Long Driver, if Snyder is going to SEMO his HC will be Tony Samuel.  Brown/Saum are at Missouri Science & Technology in Rolla.  If true, Christmas just came early for coach Samuel (Nebraska,1981).

Hey at least he stuck it out here through the bowl game, unlike some rumors that were thrown out there.  Hope it works out and he gets a chance to play a lot.

Wow, not sure what I was thinking there.  Good catch.  Did See Hilton Dawson III on the Missouri S&T roster.

Roback is a TE....and with that TD last night I look for him to be our secret red zone weapon at TE next year.

As it stands we'll have Tsquared with Vick and verbal Greg Windham.  It's possible another QB will be added either through the juco route or high school ranks.

A quick look at SEMOs roster show 1 R-FR, 2 FR and 1 SO QBs on the roster.  Not sure that he gor any closer to playing that what he was here.  Good luck, though.

There are close connections to Tony Samuel, too. Back in 2005, when Solich hired his initial staff, he brought in several staffers from New Mexico State after they fired Tony Samuel, including the QB coach, Gdowski. Given the choice of schools, it seems very likley that Gdowski assisted Snyder in finding another spot, and this was a solution that will hopefully work out well for everyone involved. It doesn't look like a case of angry player stomping out, but rather an effort to by everyone to work together to find a solution that works well for everyone.

Let's wish Snyder a great career at SE Missouri State. He should get good coaching there, and I don't think he will have to sit out a year with the move down. SE Missouri State plays in in the Ohio Valley conference, along with UT-Martin, who has played at Ohio a couple times recently.

Woa!  He was still on the team?  I thought someone in the know said we'd have only Tettleton for the bowl game?  That whole "crisis" thing.  Heading to Mount Union thing?  I guess that whole "exclusive" thing was not as credible as was voiced.  Good luck Mr. Snyder.  Thank you for your time at Ohio.

IF the coaches helped him find his way to another program, that is first class. I don't like seeing any Bobcats leave here but true competitive athletes want to play and contribute. Memories aren't made from the bench unless you are the last 10-15 guys at O$U and you want to tell everyone your were "on the team" 50 years down the road. I was impressed watching Kyle at the Akron Game. Many players have trouble transitioning to college after they have been "the man" in the HS Ranks. Props to him for wanting more and getting a starting job. All the best!

Not to hijack the thread but did anyone else cringe and start to hyperventilate like I did when Tyler went out of bounds and ran into the fence/table and woman on the sidelines? It looked like a nasty tumble and I was praying that he was not injured. He banged his shin pretty good and the announcers mentioned how tough he was and how quickly he recovered. I will thoroughly enjoy watching 2 more years of Tyler at Bobcat QB.

TT also began to limp after he was tackled at one point early in the 4th quarter.  Snyder was shown jumping up and running over to a spot to start warming up. Thankfully, we did not need him, but he was definitely ready if needed.

They showed Snyder warming up on the sidelines.  It could have been interesting.

The hope is that finally having a prolific passer (aside from Boo Jackson's one monster statistical season) that QB's won't afraid to come here. That triple option scent hovered over the program (Grobe era) and Solich (Nebraska era) for a while, in my opinion.

Perception trails reality by almost a decade in mid-major football. People around the country still think Marshall is a top-flight program, after all.

Up until last year, the AP still misidentified Ohio as a triple option team in preview capsules.

I think TT makes recruiting passers much easier in the future.

I doubt TT's success would do anything to change perception if we hadn't moved to our pistol spread formation.  The style of offense we run now will attract the QBs we have always wanted more than anything.

Disagree.

Systems aren't enough. Ohio gets better place kickers now because of the success of the place kicker before him. just five years ago, Ohio couldn't beg a place kicker to come to Athens.

Players want to see a history of success for players of their same attributes in a program.

BYU, Hawaii and Houston have made recruits who lack arm strength but have accuracy comfortable playing there in the past. I think Tettleton can set that mold.

Vick was on the sidelines during the game in a jersey but no pads, and looking like a guy that is definitely sticking around.
