That's what lacked in the entire 2nd half against NIU and the first 20 minutes vs. USU for those of you who could not see my criticism of the play-calling. Eyes are for seeing. I only asked that we do what we'd shown we could do, what got us over so well vs such as stupd cow and temples and bg and redhawk, etc. Where's the band?! WHERE"S THE BAND?! However, you have to realize that we don't have Oregon's speed, and they've been running this high-speed gig for several years now. Oh, well.  I hope that it's a lesson that we learn and take in to next season! Where's the band?! WHERE"S THE BAND?! Every time his head popped up, we picked up 8. Two more years to prep TT for this offense. He looks bright. Not many sophs know a play wont work and request another (if that is what was happening). Those guys also get unlimited free supplements like muscle milk and other legal performance enhancers...not at Ohio. For the first year running the no huddle, I'd say we did pretty well.  Kudos again to the staff for learning from their mistakes and putting the good of the program in front of their ego.  It couldn't have been easy making that call to Troy after the thumping we took, but look where it put us.  We're in for a VERY good couple of years under T2 and the pipeline beyond that looks the best it has in most of our lifetimes... Hey Blitz - we aren't playing top 5 teams every week.  Keep it in perspective.  We have a chance to do what Monroe says against the MAC and Utah States.  Even Rutgers, against whome we moved the ball very well. I agree with the posters here that at TT and the coaches get more used to the system, they will get better about knowing when to go fast, and when to change the play. Third, Stanford has third down and about 45 seconds remaining in a tie game after running the ball to about the Oke State 18 right between the uprights.  They let the clock run down to 3 seconds, kick the field goal, miss and it's overtime.  Why in the world did they not run another play to try to get in closer so the field goal wouldn't be 34 yards.  The thought that they might fumble is silly.  Gotta trust your offense, espec with the 'nouncers going off all game about the two All Americans on Stanford's o-line. Last, in OT Oke State takes it to about the 1 foot line on a play giving them a first down.  They run a play to get to the center of the field for the straight on field goal.  They kicked it and won.  If it's me, I pound you for that foot for the six pointer a couple of times.  Again, the chance of fumbling is small--gotta be same amount of risk re getting field goal blocked or having the snap to the holder go awry.
