I'm of the opinion that the layout of seats in Peden Stadium could be better than what it is to maximize revenue. Here are a few ideas that I would like to see hopefully pursued by the athletic department.

1. Move the visitor section from the endzone to section 108 (the section of main grandstand seats by the Carin center). The vistors are occupying a 2,500 endzone section while only routinely bringing 500 fans. We don't host schools outside of Marshall that bring a ton a visitors and there is no reason to tie up so many seats in the house. Give them the worst seats, the obstructed section 108 to fill which has about 500.

2. Sell Bobcat Family packages where the visitors now currently sit to make that section more full along with for individual purchase 15 dollar walk up tickets that can be sold for either endzone section. Make the 15 dollar walk up tickets a permanent price for every home game. There is no point of selling special tickets for 10 dollars one game and 20 the next like what is going on now. Keep consistent pricing so as not to confuse the fans and allow for budgeting in advance.

3. Allow fans to buy individual 40 dollar tickets in the Phillips Club section. In the past I could do this where if I just wanted to sit in Phillips for one game I could. I paid 29 dollars back when the regular price was 14. Then going back to my idea for a new section or chairbacks or bleacherbacks in the endzone, allow fans to purchase an individual game ticket in those sections as well. 40 dollars individual ticket for a bleacher back, 60 dollars per individual ticket for a chairback.

4. Give the entire student side to the students and not just 80% of it with a few sections sold off as general admission as it is. The student population in Athens is growing and is increasingly capable as it was during the Temple Blackout of assuming the entire section is full of students.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

I do think they should consider moving the Bobcat family package seats somewhere else.  I know a couple of folks who bought those and didn't really like being over by the students.

If they don't like where they are at, they should buy the "premium" family package seats.  They're over on the tower side.

I'm not positive, but thinking the premium family pack was $150.

I had the regular family pack, and my co-worker had the premium.  When she didn't attend, she would let me sit in her seats.  Honestly, there's not that much of a difference.

Except that the premium package is not near the students which was the reason given for not liking where the family package seats were located.

I for one like being on the students side for the family pack tickets.  I got very tired of the majority of "old zone" side who sit on their hands and get pissed when you stand up and cheer on  big plays.

Plus the 110 sounds so much better at half time.

This. I bought the family pack last year and just sat in the student section. Makes me less uncomfortable when words that should not be uttered around children find their way out of my mouth.

+1. I've been out of school for...several seasons now and I've still yet to sit on the tower side. No regrets.
