What are the chances Tyler ends up as the greatest QB Ohio has ever had?
He is a gutsy player for sure. I like the way he thinks on the field and seems to have that special ingredient to be a leader.

Interesting question. Tyler is certainly a playmaker and has the potential to be the greatest, especially given his dual-threat ability. Couple things I'd like to see for next year, if I'm permitted to be a tad critical. I'd like to see his arm strength improve a touch and him be a little more accurate.

Can't argue with him breaking all kinds of records as a sophomore, but he also played 14 games, something that Cleve Bryant never did.

On the other hand, we had some a few games that were offensive clunkers last season. If we could eliminate a couple of those, I think he could easily exceed the 2011 numbers in 2012 and be even better again in 2013.

Tettleton has won more bowl games than all of the other Ohio QBs combined.

(Yawn) If at some point in early -- very early -- 2014 that is referring to the number "three" then we will begin the celebration!

Isn't he already the greatest...?

Other than playing 2 more years and surpassing all the career records as well, he has already set the single season records for yards/TDs, won 10 games, won a Bowl game.

College Football 2012: 25 Players Nobody's Talking About—Yet

Tettleton gets overlooked because he plays in the MAC, but he is one of the most exciting young players in the game.

In 2011, Tettleton finished with over 3,300 yards through the air and 28 passing touchdowns to go with 10 on the ground.

He demonstrated incredible poise in the Bobcats' game-winning touchdown drive in the Idaho Potato Bowl.

Check this guy out in 2012.

He can start next year off right by leading us to victory over Penn State.

Not the greatest yet, but he could be.  Right now that honor would still have to go to Old Freak Nasty.  He also engineered late 4th Qt. game winning drives.  If you look at his per-game stats I'm sure they are #1.  You can't take season stats and make a comparison, unless you weight them based on the number of games played.  All that said, TT could easily become our best QB ever over the next two years.  Here's hoping that he will continue his phenomenal performance of 2011 in 2012.  And, let me add, from all I've heard, TT doesn't have any of the personal baggage that OFN has.

DCF--Agree about the arm strength.  Would be nice to have 5-10 more yards of arm given the capabilities of our receivers.

If he leads OHIO to 1 MAC championship, then he probably becomes #1.
If 2 MAC champs, build a statue! :)

If one of those bowl wins is a BCS Bowl, rename the city after him, since he'll have put us on the map -- Ohio University, in Tettleton, Ohio.

I get the sentiment, but, Ohio winning a BCS bowl would be not so much an individual effort as as a team and long term effort of the coaches.
