2016: @Kansas (Sept. 10)
2017: Kansas (Sept. 16)
2018: @Cincinnati (Sept. 22)
2020: Cincinnati (Sept. 12)

Who knows what state these programs will be in by then, but getting BCS teams into Peden is always a plus for me.

Nice!  Some football scheduling news to actually be excited about.  I like it!

Now let's follow through with them, unlike how we did with Northwestern and VA Tech. Miami has recently been burned by Boise State and Missouri trying to schedule home and homes.

Yes, Ohio playing in my back yard. And I only have to wait 8 years for it. When do tickets go on sale?

Very excited about this news (although that excitment will ebb and flow in the 4 years before the first of these games are played). Now lets just keep the team as good as or better than we are now.

I noticed that the article incorrectly says that Ohio lost to Kansas in the 1967 game...actually the score was 30-15 in favor of Ohio (a win and a big upset at the time).

Who knows what state our program will be in.  At Frank's age, I doubt he will be around to coach in some of these games.

You are absolutely right, Jeff, OHIO won that game.   Mr. Snyder and Mr. Bryant had themselves a stellar afternoon.  It's shame the the AD's minions can't get it right.  I looked for somewhere on the site to send a correction to the webmaster, or other appropriate person, but could find none.  I think I'll just email Schaus directly.

UC's scout board seems approving of the deal, too. There are some posters who would prefer it to be a 2-1, but still wanted to play us for a long time. Interesting because a lot of their fans would like to abandon the Miami series.

The important thing is that these are 1-1, not the horrible 2-1 deals of the past. It has been fascinating to watch Ohio ever so slowly but steadily building a brand name, and now these deals are a confirmation of the progress that has been made. How much can be credited to the winning 5 of 6 on National TV last fall? How much to a dramatic bowl game win? How much to the coach's or AD's reputation? How much to the steady increases in attendance and fan support? How much to less directly applicable things, like the run to the Sweet 16, or the publicity related to the black uniforms? It's hard to know, but its good to see that Ohio has sufficient credibility to ask for, and get, 1-1 deals with the likes of Cincy and Kansas instead of NMSU and the Ragin Cajuns. Note also that when another team asks for a 2-1, Ohio can point to these deals and say "Why would we agree to that?".

I think we will point to 2012 as the year we made it.

Guess they got the word because the article has been corrected to reflect an Ohio win.

Notice both are away first then home.  Or perhaps away then Ohio is dropped.  But I doubt it since Cincinnati regularly travels to Oxford and it isn't basketball for Kansas.

Very nice job to secure these games AD.

While its great to get Kansas and Cincinnati at home we don't know yet if these 1 for 1's are to replace the Sun Belt and WAC games or if they're scheduled with the purpose of supplanting the annual BCS money game. It could be we're doing both; going away from the money game and focusing in on scheduling in mid level programs on a 1 for 1 basis.

But is it basketball for Kansas? To get these home games did the Bobcats offer to go on the road 1 and done at KU and CU in basketball? These games are a good start but i would like to see the remainder of the football schedule before I draw any conclusions from it.

Again, it did not hurt that Lavon caught that last moment ball at the goal line.

I do not know about Love, The but I think that I can confidently say that Mrs. Love, The is very excited about this news.

First person I thought of when that particular school was scheduled.  The Kansas series has already been labeled the Love Bowl.

I'm certainly hopeful that the "money game" is still there every year.  If so, I'm pretty excited about it!

I'd like to see these type of BCS 1 for 1's, the BCS money game, Marshall, and a Sun Belt/WAC/Army/Navy/FCS game.
